to run at the  3.7 km Silly Special Stages at the WRC Rally Oz in Coffs on the Thursd/Fri and Sat nites.

I can't help but feel this is an attempt by the organisers to try and improve what is an overpriced & under-delivering entertainment package for the spectators.  Having been to a few WRC events over the years, the last Rally OZ was the worst by far.

I agree that the Rally Australia was, well, pretty ordinary in the organisation stakes for 2009. That said, a bunch of us from AMSAG are travelling up for a sabbatical interlude and any help that is needed, just get back to me. Be there for the four days of fun.

Well, Niel Taylor in the replica 710 SSS Violet, along with John Hadden in the ex works Colin Bond BDA Mk 2 Escort, with Jason Lea in the Jamie Drummond built, George Fury driven Datsun 120Y will go head to head on the Super Special Stages over all three nights in full competition at Coffs WrRC.

 

It is very pleasing to see these old historic cars come out to play, and on paper the mighty Y should do well!

 

In the Classic Rally, Richard Galley in his 260Z will be chasing Stew Reid ( my old driver) in the BDG Mk 2 Escort after having come a very close 2 nd at last months ARC event in South Australia

 

Some 101 cars will contesting up to 280 km's of competitive stages over the three days of Sept 8,9&10

 

The 120 Y is welcoming all to be service crew, plea pst you interest here, you won't have to do much, just cheer and show your Datsun love!

If anyone is going to spectate have a look at the below site.  He is a photographer and has spent a lot of time putting the site together. It allows you to work out the best place to be and how long it takes to get there.

Uploaded on boobytooby is a second vidoe from a camera sat in back of the Fury 120y. Caled wrc coffs harbour other camera, you can see we get thrown around a bit inside the car, also listen carefully just after i loop it on the sweeping right, re a slight seatbelt issue
