chartoo Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Hey all. i was browsing over at speed hunters and saw this car. Green classic not the Atom. I absolutely love the rear view and sweeping lines however there was no info on the car. Any idea what it might be. I think british maybe???xk140??? Cheers Andy Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 9, 2011 Moderators Posted March 9, 2011 Just a guess but would it be a D-type Jag? I'm not too good with some old British cars.. Quote
Ledge Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Hi Andy Alot of mid to late 50's european race cars have this look Bristol Arnolt, Aston Martin dbr1 and 2 , Ferrari testarossa ,Jaguar c type Masserati tipo, Lister and many more un heard of names . But the one in you pic looks more like the bristol. Very hard to tell without seeing the grill. Do a search of the other cars ive mentioned if you like that look. Regards Paul Quote
PeterAllen Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 I think it might be the Glasspar G2 which Jerry Wood restored. Quote
acf321 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Definitely not a C or D type jag, for sure. Does have the side profile of an Austin Healey, but their race cars did not have the bump on the rear. I'm going to back Pete on this one .. Agreed, its a magnificent thing (like the 550 Spyder! of the same era 53-55). Quote
NZeder Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 I am with Peter too see here for info on Jerry Wood’s Glasspar G2 http://www.forgottenfiberglass.com/?p=7703 And a pic for you Quote
