chris240 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 need I say anymore.. I just hope they say something positive about it, ... and its older cousins Quote
modular9 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 How could they not. If you believe the hype ... the 370z fixes the quibbles on an already good platform ( 350z ). I actually hope they dont allude to the older ones. It would be a shame. The 370z can and should stand on its own feet. On a separate note interesting to see a change in presenter and presenting styles makes for a better programme. Quote
mtopxsecret6 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 the presenter has changed.. but not the presentation format. I think they might skim over the previous models ie 240z to ramp up the presence of the new z car. Being its virtually the follow up z to the proceeding original 240z, despite their being several models between the 240z and the 370z. Quote
bluerat Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I love the Pommie one where they got the Zed owners club in!! How many of you have beards!! LOL Quote
ZED660 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 And what is wrong with beards!!! Young people who aren't old enough to grow facial hair don't have a monopoly on Z's!!! If you did a survey I am sure you would find quite a few 'mature' age Z owners. Quote
nizm0zed Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 How many of you have beards!! LOL waves hand... Once its up on youtube, can someone link it? Quote
Add Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I have been waiting for this one, hope its a good one. Want the to see the Brit one of these and see if they do like the GTR episode, now that would be awesome. Be funny if the STIG had a beard comming out the bottom of his helmet, LOL. Quote
chris240 Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 I cant get used to James Morrison.. nice bloke & ex rally driver, but he should stick to the trumpet. Yeah I wonder what the average age here is...Id guess early 30's ...with stuble beards. Quote
Scando Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 At least they're starting to go the right way with the Z again making it lighter each time now instead of heavier! Will be interesting to see what they think of it. I reckon this series has been pretty good. And if you watch the very early episodes of Top Gear UK they weren't that flash either so I'm sure the Aus version will get better and better. Quote
maddos Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 When they reviewed it in the latest top gear mag they were measuring it against the Porsche 911. Wonder if the show will do the same thing. Quote
24OZ Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 At least they're starting to go the right way with the Z again making it lighter each time now instead of heavier! Will be interesting to see what they think of it. .....if only they could go back to the rb26 Quote
zzzzed Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 nah from what i have heard the vq is a much better engine Quote
bluerat Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Crikey six sixty, thats one hell of a bite!!! You better watch the episode...LOL. Anyway, I like the new Zed and as for Aussie Top Gear, the little fella with the scruffy beard should relax a bit....and talking about telly I'm watching Spicks and Specs right now and Myf looks rather special tonight!!! Quote
V8Datto Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I'm watching Spicks and Specs right now and Myf looks rather special tonight!!! Yeah,... bit of a shock to the system. She hides them well Quote
RBZ 260 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I cant get used to James Morrison.. nice bloke & ex rally driver, but he should stick to the trumpet. Yeah I wonder what the average age here is...Id guess early 30's ...with stuble beards. same here i find him very annoying. and fair bit boring. bring back the poms. some episodes my jaw was hurting from laughter. love it. OZ one im just over their crapy talk..too much talk not enough action with cars.oh and star in a reasonably priced car man the interview skills by the cartoonist SUCK. dont realy care how was his first job. more interested whats his first car and what he/she had till now. its a freaking car show not a job interview. Quote
. Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I look at it from a slightly different angle. Yes I prefer the pom version and the Aussie guys have a lot of improving to do. However no show ever runs 52 weeks per year so I'm happy to watch the Aussie show until the UK version is back on. It might not be as good as the UK version but its better than most of the other stuff on TV these days. Also it might not be funny but it does have local content that the UK doesn't. Quote
Scando Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 talking about telly I'm watching Spicks and Specs right now and Myf looks rather special tonight!!! Bluerat was that excited he called to tell me about it Quote
