As the headline says, I need a new beaver panel for my 71Z. Bought a new panel that sits on top of the beaver panel, however on removing the old top panel, I noticed the existing beaver panel is pretty badly rusted in the corners. Does anybody have a good used item from a wreck, or know if I can buy a new replacement. Called Warren and he said he does not make new ones ... yet!

Cheers guys

Adam.

What about good second hand ones? Seen a good one but can't remember who had it...

Seriously, it can't that hard to re-fab. that section up, then refit the new bever panel?

I know someone who has a new genuine one but from memory I think its for a 260 2+2. I may be out there this weekend, I'll drop by and have a look. Don't hold your breath though...

Hey Dimitri, if it's a 2+2 rear panel and he's keen to sell I would be interested.  May also be interested in your red one, gotta check finances first!

I would have just called it a rear panel - never heard that term before - given that my understanding of the US slang I thought the beaver was the front bottom not the rear bottom known as the fanny in the US.

Hence the large number of edits in this thread by Lurch, and a couple of missing posts!

Yeah....and my beaver pic...took me seconds to find that one.

i have a few beaver pics, not that i can post them here ;D

back on topic though, does anyone know if the lower section, under the bumper is available?

Or is it a fairly simple shape?

Seems like it would be easier to replace the whole panel, then to smooth and fill the holes and indentations that are allready there.
