acf321 Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 As the headline says, I need a new beaver panel for my 71Z. Bought a new panel that sits on top of the beaver panel, however on removing the old top panel, I noticed the existing beaver panel is pretty badly rusted in the corners. Does anybody have a good used item from a wreck, or know if I can buy a new replacement. Called Warren and he said he does not make new ones ... yet! Cheers guys Adam. Quote

C.A.R. Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Seriously, it can't that hard to re-fab. that section up, then refit the new bever panel? Quote
acf321 Posted May 15, 2009 Author Posted May 15, 2009 Lurch, if I could make one... I'd never ever ever leave the shed !!!!! seriously tho ... I do need one .. Quote
NZeder Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 So this is what this panel is called I would have just called it a rear panel - never heard that term before - given that my understanding of the US slang I thought the beaver was the front bottom not the rear bottom known as the fanny in the US. This is the only place I know that supply them http://www.fourways-engineering.co.uk/zcars_parts.html Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted May 15, 2009 Moderators Posted May 15, 2009 I know someone who has a new genuine one but from memory I think its for a 260 2+2. I may be out there this weekend, I'll drop by and have a look. Don't hold your breath though... Quote
reverendzed Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Hey Dimitri, if it's a 2+2 rear panel and he's keen to sell I would be interested. May also be interested in your red one, gotta check finances first! Rev. Quote

Hence the large number of edits in this thread by Lurch, and a couple of missing posts! Quote
C.A.R. Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Yes, it got a bit off track... I'd call it a rear Vlance myself. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted May 16, 2009 Moderators Posted May 16, 2009 Yeah....and my beaver pic...took me seconds to find that one. Quote
NZeder Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 In the S30 parts catalogue Nissan call it the Assy-Panel Rear Quote
nizm0zed Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Yeah....and my beaver pic...took me seconds to find that one. i have a few beaver pics, not that i can post them here back on topic though, does anyone know if the lower section, under the bumper is available? Or is it a fairly simple shape? Seems like it would be easier to replace the whole panel, then to smooth and fill the holes and indentations that are allready there. Quote
