260z 2 seater drivers door.

Looking for a good condition drivers door for my 260z 2 seater.

March 1976 model.

Preferably sydney area unless your willing to ship.

Whats wrong with your current door?

Standard rust along the bottom but also some bad rust throughout the area where the door hinges are.

Repairable but if i can start with a better frame then thats my prefered route.

Which latch does it have, same as the 240Z or the later 260Z?

Believe its the later style.

It's the earlier style, identical to my '74. The later style has a circular latch plate on the body door jamb.

Helps when looking for parts, still so much to learn about these cars.

A 240Z door will look OK externally but the inside face is wrong as the internal door trim / pull handle etc is different between the 240Z and 260Z styles.

Also, the 240Z and 260Z window winder mechanisms are different, both in component geometry placement and the way in which the winder spring mechanism is mounted - have a look at images online and you will see what I mean.

Maybe it's possible to do a cut'n'shut of the two types, I'm sure someone will have tried it.
