Administrators gav240z Posted March 2, 2019 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2019 I like the size/profile of these tyres on Topy steel wheels. Does anyone want to hazard a guess as to what size they are? Also any suggestions for 14" tyres in Australia? I do like it when they come with the white letters also. Although it seems you an add these later if req. (yes it's required lol)..
gilltech
The T/As are a wide profile tyre as used on Mustangs, muscle cars etc. Those look like 215 judging by the way they fill the wheelarches. Limited choices with 14" these days, mostly narrow sizes for small cars and vans. Then if you want raised white letters then you'll be looking at BF Goodrich or Cooper Tyres and the like. Not cheap though.

gilltech
I have the Dunlop SP Sport on my factory alloys, 195/70-14, for the old school look. Personally I don't like raised white letters much, and certainly not on anything which doesn't scream muscle car. cracker
The "classic" tyre ranges are usually made in the higher performance compounds so will still allow you to extract some performance, while the passenger type tyres in the standard specs for 14 inch tyres will just be passenger car type compound made for decent road performance in wet and dry and long tyre life.
