Bump

I know I would probably get some interest if I advertised these for free, but that can't happen, so the next best thing I can do is a drop to $875!  I will even throw in the boxes they came in:)

It's always the case, when you want to but they are always expensive but when you want to sell, everyone wants cheap.    If I was closer I would offer you 800 for them even though I dont need them  but sadly with postage to Vic it ends up costing more than I am willing to spend.

Price drop $900 firm.

Because no offence to the seller, but Rotas are cheap imitation rubbish.  Plus the need for Tyres and your looking at over $2000 for knock offs with a somewhat questionable reputation

Have you had bad experience with them? I know they had a bad rep and a recall over a decade ago, but I haven't heard or seen of anything bad in recent years.

Is there a cheaper alternative to this? Please post a link.

I’m interested in a light weight wheel in a similar size.

They just have a bad wrap - who knows how much is true though - urban legend vs actual events.  I've heard stories of rotas literally exploding apart.  Saying that I ran a set until I could justify some Wats and didn't have any issues! I think you'll have more luck if the rims were wrapped in some rubber as thats another significant expense the buyer would have to stump up.

It’s certainly a divisive debate!  At the end of the day buy whatever best suits your needs, budget and value for money.

I agree, I have been waiting on my order for Watanabe since March and still nothing. Three weeks ago I was advised that Watanabe had QA issues with the March batch so its going to be delayed even more. I was tempted to get the Rota RKRs and use/abuse them and put in another order for the Watanabe for a later time. Not that fussed ATM
