260DET Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 (edited) FYI The standard Nice studs (S462) are 37.6 long, the optional long studs (S4570) are 73mm long and twice as expensive. The S462's are a bit short for aftermarket mag wheels but the others are way too long. The Nice cattle dog lists the S459 at 53.3mm long, the knurled part is point one mm bigger, a bigger hammer Edited February 8, 2018 by 260DET Quote
C.A.R. Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Have a word with Stewart at SW Motorsport... Quote
HKSZ Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I used to grab the rear studs out of r31 skylines 44mm from memory Quote
260DET Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 I've ordered ten of the S459's and just thought that the info found out along the way might be handy for others. The price of studs from some sellers is ridiculous, Nice are relatively reasonable. Quote
KatoKid Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Good luck with the bigger hammer....think you will struggle.....ask me how I know. Quote
dat2kman Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Nissan Patrol fourby studs are 44mm, and press in just nicely. Quote
HKSZ Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 and the beauty of 44mm is you can pop them in the rear hub without having to remove the axles. Quote
260DET Posted February 10, 2018 Author Posted February 10, 2018 The longer ones will be handy if spacers are needed on the front, old ones will be pressed out and the new ones pressed in. I like to finish off by giving them a big whack with a hammer just to make sure that they are bedded right in. Quote
