No difference in pedal pressure or harshness in use, yet will last quite a bit longer with more clamping force. FWIW I always get a Clutch Kit (new Pressure plate, Driven plate & T/O bearing) just for reliability sake. Quote

pauly_adams Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 the one thing that shocked me with the exedy clutch its how well it grabed, it doesnt even hesertate i can tell you it took a couple of days and a few slight screetches to get use to it though. my last clutch was a valeo and it ate the dust due to new tourque increase, all i have to say is long live exedy cheers pauly Quote
mossy Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Thread revival here, in regards to the PBR HD clutch kit for a l28, their website lists a few different models all within the same years, 78-84, one says 225mm the other 240mm, whats the difference? Quote
C.A.R. Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 One is std & the other is turbo. Just measure the Dia. of your original pressure plate Mark to determine which is which. I'm betting it'll be the 225mm one. Quote
mossy Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Cheers mate your a wealth of knowledge the L28 didn't have a flywheel so I'll check the L24 when I pull it out. EDIT:Just checked the PBR HD clutch range again and it looks like the kits for the L24 and L28 have all the same part numbers except for the pressure plate, so it looks like I'll have to get an L28 flywheel after all. mossy Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Checked the exedy website and it seems the clutch cover assembly height is 53mm for the 240 and 47mm for the 280zx, I'm guessing this would cause problems with the clutch engaging? Quote
