NickF
Have a set of 5" steel wheels thinking of widening to 7 or 8 inches keeping the original backspace. I think they would fit ok at standard height but would they fit if lowered 1 or 2 inches? To get a better selection of tyres I could fit the centres into 15" rims same question as above. EJ101
personally I wouldn't, you'll just end up with a really heavy wheel. Can you even find anyone that does widening these days?
260DET
Love the American stock car type steel wheels, fairly sure that they come in 15" but probably not in four stud. They are not that heavy either.
dat2kman
RACE Engineering in Salsbury Qld does hese, a lot! You may need to ring around some of the heel repair type shops in Melbourne/near you.
NickF
There are a couple of shops in Melbourne that will alter the wheels. Decided to change to 15" a better selection of tyres? 205.55.15 should be near the same rolling diameter as 175.70.14 So will the above tyre on a 15x7 rim fit standard height suspension Alternately will it fit if lowered 1 or 2 inches ? Fatdat
A few months ago i got my 14x4" fairlady wheels rebarreled into 15x7 for my 260z 2 seater. I used neway wheels in Heidelberg west, they have a guy in there that does all the old school stuff, they cost me $150ea and look awesome. I'd put up pics but dont seem to be able to with my phone. Im currently running 195/60 tyres but will eventually fit my 225/50 advans
Groundhog
Some people like widened steel wheels and some don't.I like the option of retaining the orginal hubcaps and look of the car. The 15X7's will fit. I have 15x7's front and 15 x7.5 rims rear on my 2+2. GH George and gav240z
