240Z / 260Z Plastic Window Winder Regulator Rollers

Does any one need to replace  240z / 260z plastic window winder regulator rollers?

 

if so let me know , i recently turned up some of these for someone as replacements aren't  available .

 

$25 each, $45 a pair and $65 for 3 , posted australia wide ,

 

any questions please let me know 

 

pictures contain and old one and the pin which aren't included , you get like the 2 bright white ones.

Hi all,

 

Just thought i would post up some pictures of a winder mechanism that received 2 new rollers, 2 new bushes and 2 new pins welded in.

 

If any one needs one repaired just let me know , some rough pricing in previous post and  extra pins or large plastic washers add $10 each to roller pricing.

Hi Craig, I currently have the window regs out of my doors and i'm thinking that it would be prudent to do this while it's all apart, as i had loose rattley windows that were hard to wind up.

 

So you need 3 per side right? Do all three usually need replacing and do you have to weld the new pins to the reg arms right?

Are your 3 rollers and larger plastic collars still intact and appear undamaged? and yes there are 3 per mechanism and would need to be welded in if replaced.

If yours all appear to be fine i am not sure that replacing with new would be necessary. if your window was a bit stiff it may be because of other issues.

- window felts worn out creating slop/play int the window allowing it to kick over slightly and wind up unevenly.

- there is also another guide roller in the top of the door which you can buy new from the US.

- the mechanism may also need general cleaning and greasing.

- inside door window guides out of position...

 

what does your mechanism look like currently?

That NZ post talks about sourcing rollers at Bunnings. Certainly they have a range of replacement rollers for sliding windows, doors, screens etc. I sourced some there for my Mustang - Rolltrak was the brand IIRC.

What would be useful are replacement rivet-on retainers.
