Administrators gav240z Posted February 27, 2016 Administrators Posted February 27, 2016 Hi Everyone, Just wanted to post a link so you can bookmark these resources. http://www.jdmjunkies.ch/wordpress/2016-02-27/240z-headlight-switch-rebuild-pt-1-bodyshop-work-on-rear-quarters-started/ http://www.jdmjunkies.ch/wordpress/2016-04-03/240z-turn-signal-switch-refurbish-assembly/ http://www.jdmjunkies.ch/wordpress/2016-03-02/240z-steering-wheel-switches-refurbish-pt-ii-update-bodyshop/ http://www.doyouevenhoon.com/datsun-240z-gtr/how-to-rebuild-datsun-240z-headlight-switch.html I will attempt this myself with a spare switch I have and will try and write my own tutorial and attach images here (since sites like that often have a habit of disappearing with their images over time) so it's good to have our own resource. If anyone in the interim gives this a go please post your results here. Above all don't throw away your old units! They can be rebuilt! Ponyo240z 1 Quote
theremm Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I followed the tutorial in the second link to rebuild mine recently. Great step by step guide and the switch now works great I also have to rebuild my indicator switch at some point too.. Quote
andyk_79 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I've read this page a few times for indicator switch - haven't tried but instructions seem clear: https://fiddlingwithzcars.wordpress.com/2012/12/04/turn-signal-repair/ Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted April 4, 2016 Author Administrators Posted April 4, 2016 Just updated with another post on indicator switch assembly. http://www.jdmjunkies.ch/wordpress/2016-04-03/240z-turn-signal-switch-refurbish-assembly/ Quote
PeterAllen Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 (edited) I've done away with my headlight combination and placed a series of switched on the dash. I'm keen to have a spare indicator/high beam switch so I'm looking to swap my headlight combination switch for an indicator/high-beam switch. Any takers? Edited April 4, 2016 by PeterAllen Quote
AndBir Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 A video that may provide some further advice for part of the rebuild process : Quote
