Hi all, this isn't necessarily about gearboxes but I was wondering if a 280zx manual pedal box will fit a 260z 2+2. I'm happy to modify them within reason.

Thanks,

Andrew

Operation f edals is same, spacing of rods, but, the mounting holes for firewall attachment are wrong position.

Easy fixed, but, as a structural thing, not sure if it needs engineeting.

Second point, if in accident, and it is discovered, whether contributory or not, insurances may be vouded, and liability then put onto driver/installer etc.

Would this involve modifying the pedal box or actual car? Surely redrilling a few holes on the pedal box wouldn't really require an engineering cert.

Just get a proper S30z one, they can be had and are not that expensive.

Yes it would, dont take the chance. As Jason said of something goes wrong you could be liable.

And as Gav said said, just grab an S30 one.

Do you need a new pedal box ? my late model 2+2 auto didn't need a new pedal box, just the 260Z clutch pedal and pivot pin.

Cheers

Topic split to keep the gearbox thread tidy and on topic.

Thats what I just became aware of! I'm now on the hunt for a clutch/brake pedal (I believe they are the same?)

No the angles & pedal pad orientation are different between the two.

Just do as I advised in my PM!
