Administrators gav240z Posted January 30, 2016 Administrators Posted January 30, 2016 Are 2+2 tank the same as 2 seater ones? Any difference between 240z/260z tanks? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted January 30, 2016 Administrators Posted January 30, 2016 Are 2+2 tank the same as 2 seater ones? Any difference between 240z/260z tanks? To somewhat answer my own query, fuel tanks are the same up until August 1974. Early set up (240z's) was far less complicated with no reservoir set up. Quote
Clockwork Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Yeah my 7/74 2+2 has no reservoir tank. Quote
zeds4ever Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) Gav , when you state reservoir, what models that apply too & how does it function. Regards : Alan. Edited January 31, 2016 by zeds4ever Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted January 31, 2016 Administrators Posted January 31, 2016 Gav , when you state reservoir, what models that apply too & how does it function. Regards : Alan. Alan I'm certainly no expert on such things, but I was looking in the Australian Delivered Parts manual I have the other night just to look up some part no's and try to confirm a few assumptions I have about early 240z's. I came across the fuel tank section for different models and the early cars don't appear to have a vapour tank from the diagram, but I'm almost certain I've seen 1 in my 72 240z when I removed the rear 1/4 plastic. So I'll have to look at it again and maybe attach pictures here if relevant. It does however look like early fuel tanks are different to later ones. I was curious because my 70 240z fuel tank is a bit beat up at the bottom and I am considering repairing it vs a better condition tank. When Locky specifically asked for a 2+2 tank I thought I'd check if he knew of a difference. Quote
