Hi Gav

Cleaning up my office last night and I found an old add I had printed out for #180 that was for sale a number of years ago .

It's a Tarmac rally car Blue in colour full cage , triple 48's etc. built by SWM .

I will try to scan the add and post it for your reference .

Cheers Doug

Gentle reminder, would be good to see it!

Hello there dat2kman! Presently at home for a short while to give my cars a run. The Casino car from page 13 wasn't really a low number car. It was a "transition" Z having early 2000 Roadster type gearbox, fender mirrors and hand throttle, but with later cylinder head, pillar vents and storage boxes. An original one owner unmolested car until it was T boned. I have no idea what chassis number the car had because it was scrapped after wrecking. The firewall section and ID plate would have been scrapped with the rest of the car. I was hoping to locate the family and find some info for Gavin while we were holidaying at Evans Head but they had moved, so the numbers remain a mystery.

HS30 00993 is here:

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/byron-bay/cars-vans-utes/datsun-240z-coupe/1112711433

Hi, For sale is a 1971 240z bare shell. The chassis is #993 and has very minimal rust and has been completely stripped by the previous owner to use as a race car(spot welded and has a small hole in the roof for a vent). We had plans to use the car as a donor but no longer need it. I am open to offers, the rear hatch is not part of the sale, the shell can be easily picked up by 3 people.

Safari Gold 240z in the UK. (RHD)

CAR March 1972 K70 Lamborghini Urraco Datsun 240Z vs Lotus Plus-2S Corvette Cult

Featured in sub-section: Datsun 240Z vs Lotus Plus-2S

So it must be an HS30 car, late 71 perhaps?

It has the early caps and colour 920. So I'd say good chance it was a VIN less than HS30 01000. Not sure if it still exists today?
