Administrators gav240z Posted July 15, 2015 Administrators Posted July 15, 2015 Hi Everyone, I have these late 260z 2 seater door trims for sale, I originally ordered them for someone but was sent the incorrect version (we need the earlier ones like the 240z where the lock hole is 15cm from the rear) on these you can see they are 22 cm from the rear of the door card. This is what they used on later 260z doors. So measure your door lock position to determine what you need. More info here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=13542.0 240z/early 260z comparison measurement. I am hoping to exchange them for another set of the correct trims, but to save on the hassle of returning them I thought I'd list them for sale. Since they are super hard to find as anyone who is looking for a pair will know. These are brand new, absolutely no flaws, no storage damage, chrome trim is perfect etc.. They even smell brand new, only taken out of the box for photos. They are as mint as you'll find. If you want more photos or details of anything let me know? 1 of the photos makes the vinyl look a bit faded or washed out, but that's just the flash. They are perfect. If you want to inspect in person I have them at work in Pyrmont NSW. Happy to ship anywhere in Australia or abroad for our international members. Price: $1,500 AU - slightly neg. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 16, 2015 Author Administrators Posted July 16, 2015 Sold pending final payment. If anyone else needs a pair like these get in contact. Still trying to source the earlier versions though. Will see how that pans out. Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted July 16, 2015 Moderators Posted July 16, 2015 Sold pending final payment. Man, they moved quicker than I expected Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 16, 2015 Author Administrators Posted July 16, 2015 Nissan no longer makes them, the car they are going on is 1 of the best 260z's going round... So they will suit it nicely. Quote
gilltech Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Gav240z, were those ones NOS? Or made a little later? (date stamp perhaps?) Just curious, wondering how the 'chrome plating' on the strips either side of the fake woodgrain is holding up if they're really old. The chrome on mine peeled off maybe at about 12yrs old. Wouldn't want to find NOS at the going price & find that happening. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 16, 2015 Author Administrators Posted July 16, 2015 It is my understanding these are made to order and not NOS. Nissan doesn't have these as far as I'm aware. Hence these smell brand new because they are new. Chrome strip and all. They are reproduction cards made to exact OEM standard. Never seen date stamps on door cards, but then again I never really looked. I didn't see any on these. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 17, 2015 Author Administrators Posted July 17, 2015 Payment received. Quote
Iceberg Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Nissan no longer makes them, the car they are going on is 1 of the best 260z's going round... So they will suit it nicely. One passenger side black is still available from Nissan in Japan for a $600 something shipped . For 260z that is, they have a few more choices for 240z. I know this because i am after white Datsun 260z door trims and white interior so local Nissan dealer looked it up for me. PS if anyone wants to sell white/off white seat with the funny looking insert in the middle from 260z, i would sure appreciate it. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 17, 2015 Author Administrators Posted July 17, 2015 Bargain haha. http://jdm-car-parts.com/collections/interior-trim-nissan-datsun-fairlady-z-240z-260z-280z-280zx/products/datsun-280z-1977-78-coupe-door-panel-set-nos Quote
Old Man Z Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Hey Gav, that is a bargain!. Are they the same as the JDM Parts ones . They were doing repro sets for around $1000 US a while back . I got a new drivers side panel for my 75 260 on ebay so looking for a passenger side one now . Had a lead on one from Canada for $800US plus a ridiculous amount for postage, ouch! So, your set is a steal . Do you think you can find early 260 ones? , Will Quote

Do you think you can find early 260 ones? , Will I certainly hope so, but communicating with a Japanese supplier is tricky (obviously since this order was originally messed up) since they have no "260z" in Japan I have to assume that an S31 Zenki model is what I need door trims for, this time I'm asking for photos before they are sent, as obviously the measurement of the door lock position was lost in translation. Old Man Z Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Gav, I'd be interested if you could get another set , thanks, Will Quote

Old Man Z Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Hey Gav, Looking for early set for 75 260 . Passenger side to start , would take a set then just sell the drivers one I have? Are the ones from your contact originals . The chrome pinstripe looks pretty authentic . Repro ones I have seen have the chrome adhesive pinstripe which is ok but you can tell from the ends that they are not same as the originals ! Thanks , Will Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted August 25, 2015 Author Administrators Posted August 25, 2015 Hi Guys, Bumping this thread up again, so I can get door trims with the lock position 15cm from the rear of door card (earlier style) as opposed to later ones which were 25cm from rear. For measurements please see link here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/13762-260z-door-cards-for-early-260zs/ Price is still $1,500 AU a pair. I have had a couple of people ask about these so just bumping this thread to see if there is anymore interest before I order them in. Quote
Old Man Z Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Hey Gav , wondering if you received those pics I sent of the early 260 cards I bought from the States . Do you think they matched up to your ones ? Is the chrome? Trim that chrome tape or is it actually applied as the original was ? Thanks, Will Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted August 27, 2015 Author Administrators Posted August 27, 2015 Hi mate did you send the pics via the same email as you use on this site? I remember getting some photos or door trims but more than 1 person has sent me some, please forward me the email and photos again if you can? With regard to measurements the door lock position, arm rest and window crank all appear to be in the same position from the reference photos I've got of earlier 260z trims and the later ones. So I'm not sure which market had the variance. Quote
