Don't need to be perfect just straight and happy to fix some rust . Dose anyone know if new ones are available ? their was a few places selling them a while ago ( eBay , all musclecar parts ? ) but I cant seem to find them anymore . Cheers Doug Quote

Good thing is these are not that hard to find second hand and it's usually the bottom section that is flogged out due to rust. You can get that section from Rare Spares though. Quote

I can get them in from Japan the problem is the shipping is going to hurt given their size. Much better to find locally if you can. I'd try calling Ash at Moorabbin Auto Spares. He has a few spares and might have some front fenders. Otherwise look for a cheap 2+2 you can break for parts and sell off the rest.. Quote

To make it worse I've got 2x 240's and all 4 front guards are rusted or damaged. If anyone knows where to track some down I'd also love to know! Quote

Same one's as gumtree and by the looks of the images they are way over priced by the amount of work it would take to get them straight. Probably why he is selling them . FWIW all the repro guards I've ever seen have had the front repeater hole punch-out, made as a universal guard. Quote

It seems to be an AU market anomaly. Like our flat fender mirrors. Of course the solution is to weld up those holes like I did... Quote

Simple enough to cut & file up an infill piece, tack it in, good weld all around, grind up both sides & it's done & you'd never know a hole was ever there. With repro guards one may need to do the same with the fender mirror holes, unless you want them of course. I can't recall if all those I've seen had them or not, but certainly a pair I once had (some years ago now, they had come in from Japan) & on-sold did. Different manufacturers. Unless someone brings in another batch then it's a case of using what you can find. Personally I'd always lean towards repairing the original guards if practicable & keeping as much of the original sheet metal belonging to the car as possible. Quote
