hi there, im wondering if anyone might be able to help me find my old 240z.

it was British racing green manual with black trim and was number 0099, it had a 280z motor in it but i did sell the car with the original motor minus the head. i sold the car about 19 years ago when i lived in Kallaroo Perth to a Perth man that was going to restore the car. i would really like to find the old girl as my mother originally bought the car in 1973-4 and was very upset when i sold it. any help as to where the car might be now would be great,

thanks David

I don't have any information on the car but I'd love to know if it's still around. Would be good to find it again.

you only have to answer the questions for the first few posts you make

if you're stumped go to google & type in the exact same question and you should find the answer pretty easily

I assume the VIN number was HS30-00099?

If that was the case you should be able to do a do a REV's check and possibly find some of its history.

You could try http://www.carfacts.com.au/

I put in my 260Z 2+2 and could not find it though....may be if you call them up they could help more

They generally don't work as our cars chassis numbers aren't recognised as valid VIN numbers.

eg, tried HS3000099 and got an error:

VIN Accuracy Tips:

the letters "I", "O" and "Q" never appear in a VIN

the VIN must be exactly 17 characters in length

Although, If you can remember the rego plate number, and the car is still registered with the same plates, a rego check would reveal if it is still on the road: https://online.transport.wa.gov.au/webExternal/registration/?0

No response as yet from David (240z0099) so I used the Email option in the Members List today and repeated my message - fingers crossed that he gets the news this time.
