260Z CR Gearbox - SOLD!

Reconditioned 260Z Close Ratio 5-speed gearbox.

 

Rebuilt buy myself under the guidance of Datsun specialist Les Collins at his workshop.

 

Specs are:

* 260Z Housings, Water-Jet blasted inside & out. All other components cleaned.

* 260Z Gear-set, 1st: 2.906, 2nd: 1.902, 3rd: 1.311, 4th: 1:1, 5th: 0.864, Rev: 3.382. Gears were cleaned & inspected for wear. All pronounced serviceable. Steel selector forks.

* Converted to brass Warner style syncros. New syncro rings on 2nd & 3rd. Back-cut dog rings on 2nd & 3rd gears. Clearances checked.

* All new sealed roller bearings fitted. Needle roller bearings were pronounced serviceable.

* Double Lock-Nuts on mainshaft.

* Short shifter conversion fitted with new Billet shifter, bushes & cup.

 

NOT INCLUDED in this sale is a clutch fork, clutch bearing carrier or gearbox mount - reuse your old ones.

Fork & bearing carrier are available at extra cost.

It went via a dirt rally forum, those guys know value when it comes by.

 

I've got one, it's an Albins though, closer ratios, could be persuaded to let it go, like everything else!
