chris240 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Gents, my fan in the heater/ demister stopped working after never having missed a beat. The fuse looks fine, any thoughts on where to start looking ? Quote
dat2kman Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Got voltage on either side of fuse? Got voltage at plug connection into the blower unit? Start there. Quote
chris240 Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 Ok, Ill run the multimeter over it. I assume ignition needs to be on and the fan speed turned on ? Scoot , No the fan doesnt work at any speed. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted May 29, 2014 Moderators Posted May 29, 2014 Grab a test light and stick it through the insulation of the + wire that goes to the motor itself and check for power when ign is on and fan switch is set to high. Could be a few things.. Quote
chris240 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 All sorted and working.. The problem , as it turned out, was 6 weeks ago a letter arrived for me from my Optometrist reminding me I was due for an eye test and new glasses.........I did not heed this advice Quote
zeds4ever Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 So does that mean the fuse was blown?. Regards: Alan. Quote
