Really nissan needs to listen to the general public and just go with a new silvia none of this hybrid zed/ s chassis cross over shite, personally its only a concept but if the new 510 or IDx but if its not a cvt auto it should be fine if its got a turbo straped to it

Gentlemen, let us critique this silvia concept for what its worth.

 

You have to love the Mazda front grille treatment which harks back to the Mazda 6 of 6 years ago.................Score 1/10

And if we use some imagination, the front guards to the bonnet and grille are very current gen RX7.................Score 1/10

Im sure that the headlamps are straight out of a Korean makers 4 cyl parts bin, just cant put my finger on it..Score -2/10

Please, a vehicle of this day and age with triangles for door handles? why even door handles ?...............Score -4/10

This thing must be fast, its using F1 side mirrors !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please................................................................Score -9/10

They had no idea how to finish off the 1/4 glass so disguised it as (a) a highlight (b) chrome, you choose........Score -5/10

This is what I like the most, what you cant see but is hinted, Z4 BMW ass end treatment, not cool...................Score 2/10

Yes I know cruel right ? No actually, I agree with others, Nissan put away the crayons and do what you used to do best, come up with design ques that become classic, not kitch, The 240Z H/L buckets, the tails treatment, the 1/4 glass, the flow of the 2 seaters roof, these are the classic lines your people came up with, yes maybe borrowed but purely yours in timeless exicution, the features we all fell in love with and why your cars are loved and still here with the ppl on this forum.

Can't say I'm a fan of the Blade Glider or IDx concepts. I'm hoping a new Z concept is still to come but I am beginning to doubt it, and after seeing these concepts, I'm not sure I want to see the Z...

 

Nissan has lost the plot as far as I'm concerned (except the GTR).

 

Oh, also, someone pointed out on another forum that in roman numerals, D = 500, X = 10. IDx... Not sure what the first is 'I' meant to mean though...

Do we know what was under the covers in LA? I can't find any news with various searches on the web. Am I correct in presuming there are no more releases in LA as the public have now been granted access?

 

 

EDIT: The two cars under the sheets were the Nismo GT-R and the Nismo Sentra. New Silvia/Zed will have to wait.
