Opinions wanted, which way looks better- fitting topstage wing on a 2+2!

I received my Top stage 432 replica wing today in the mail, i know its molded for a 2 seater and not a bus, and i am aware either way i go, ill need to modify it to fit.

Now i would like some opinions on which way to mount it, im unsure what will look better.

Its either going to be butted up against the hatch lock like normal, where the back rests just before the edge of the hatch.

Or the back is going to overhang the hatch and pop-rivited across the back aka "rocket bunny S13" or "Nascar" look.

It seems it will fit better and would be slightly less effort if i did it the second way, but here are some photo's and some opinions please!

Normal:

as you can see it will need quite abit of trimming to make it fit nicely.

Now if i overhang the bottom edge it looks like its a better fit, but the lock cutaway is no where near where it should be.

So i ask for your opinions on which way would you all mount it?

Ditto but please cut off the enormous piece of water pipe that is poking out the back. {Exhaust]

I like the way the first one looks with the exposed edge of the hatch. As i think it helps break up the spoiler and taillight panel. If it was body colour id definatly go number 2.

Personally id grind off the flap that covers the end of the hatch and have it look like number 1 but sit like number 2..if that makes sense.

The real 432 wing i'm quite confident doesn't have that flap on the end. Look at Decoy's 'star road' thread and you'll get what i mean.

The blue Starroad car does have the tab on the bottom still.

Sorry Jake i was refering to the silver Z's spoiler. But yeah noticed the blue spoiler also sits up but has that flap. Weird as i have the same spoiler and believe its not meant to sit up like that..

Is the 432 spoiler what people also call the 'Bre' or are they different?

When I picked my 432 style wing off top stage, I asked them whether it was to sit like option one or two and he told me option two, lip hanging over.

And I believe the main difference between the BRE wing and 432 is the flat section for the badge.

Yeah definately made to sit as number 2. I have the same wing and a bre i got off Agno and cant tell the difference both had the flat badge section. I thought maybe they were just called 2 different names.

In Japan most of the zeds ive seen either have the wing sitting as option 1 or their wings dont have that flap at all..so makes me wonder. I still reckon if the wing is black it needs that seperation from the tailight panel or it just looks weird.

yes thank you gents, i was leaning towards option 2 also, just seems like you would not even need the cut away for the lock. and i agree about the need to either 1: paint it body colour or 2: have it sticking higher slightly to break up the spoiler from the light panel.

ahh yes a sore sight for the eyes, don't worry, im trying to get a new exhaust from japan at the moment.

Hi Mate,

Here are the pics of mine. I have put a washer were the hatch button would be.

So yes the 2+2 hatch is different
