Does any one know who owns this or seen this datsun 240z?

Hey guys, we were recently driving through seaton area in Adelaide when we stopped at the lights i looked to my left a saw a lime green datsun 240z sitting behind these gates, my friend has been telling me about this datsun but i didn't know it was this one, he recons it has been there for awhile now, and just wanted to know if any one knew who's datsun it is or seen it before.

 

Here are some pictures, the car is located just before the train crossing on tapleys hill road when driving towards glenelg, its at some battery place.

EDIT: Even if i did offer him it would have to be with my own money and it would be a really low ball offer of $1500 even then dad still would probably not let me buy it.

as for $1500 offer if he don't punch you out I will STOP low balling and wasting peoples time.Micheal knows what they worth so you wont be getting a bargain either way.

 

If you don't have money stop looking. Start when you have at least 5k in your account before even thinking of making any offers for any 2 seater Z.

 

Sorry but this but just shits me.  Had enough of dealings with low baller's and dreamers. Don't have money  buy a suzuki alto and live with it. You want to be cool well you need money.

 

I really doubt the car is for sale as he has few and few people i had contact with have allready asked and he knocked them back. he wont even sell parts of them. but he sell you super duper batteries and 4wd gear and range rover parts any time.

 

Also I think the car is his sons. I've seen him work on it few time. Its getting preped very slowly for some sort of racing. Also has a Defect sticker on it.

 

Otherwise from what I have seen from the road looks ok.

Hmm yes that is true and i would have never had actually offered him $1500 any ways but from all i could say if no one knew him he could have been a guy who dosent really care much about datsuns and couldn't care less to what happens to it and just sees it as an average car.

Not bothering anyone mate it's good to have these converstions and it's great to see another Zed around albeit in captivity. If you're looking for a Zed the right one will find you, patience and a nice wad of cash are essential.

seen an old lady in a beaten up but complete 12A RX3 coupe. so many times i tried to talk to her and offer her money she can get a nice modern car. but than get me thinking im sure im not the first one and she still drives that clapped out rota.

 

recent one the same intersection where that 240z is again an old lady driving a HK Monaro GTS. Beaten up no rust but heaps of car parking injuries. Again was about to follow and offer a decent amount but im sure she rather drive that rough Monaro than get a new car. Possibly siblings or kids know what it is and waiting for it as inheritance.

 

so yes it can happen but you got to be prepared to offer a reasonable amount to able to get it.

 

Keep looking just keep saving so u can pounce when the right car shows up.
