JDM_240z Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Hey guys, I'm putting triple dellortos on my l24 in my engine build, I was wondering can I get away with using the factory mechanical fuel pump? It's not exactly going to be a huge hp engine but it has a few good bits in it an I want to make sure it's not going to starve on fuel if I give it a bit of a pedal. Quote

luvemfast Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I had to upgrade my electric fuel pump on mine after being on the dyno. While holding revs over 6K, it would start to run out of fuel and lean out. But I have a PMC For a road car, you'll be fine. Quote
d3c0y Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 It depends on the condition of your stock pump too. If you have tuning issues with the set up, fuel pressure is one of the first things you will be asked to check. It's pretty easy to mount a nice quiet Pierburg in the back and you don't have to crank as long to get the fuel pressure up. Quote
