FWIW, there is a raised number on a counterweight on the L6.

E3141 = L24 Crankshaft (73.7mm Stroke)
E3040 = L26/L28 Crankshaft (79mm Stroke)

V0740 = LD28 cranks (83mm stroke)

HTH.

The crank from a 260c sedan is better for us, Nissan never bothered much with drilling  lots of nasty holes in them

'cos the older folk that was the 260 c market didn' rev their engines past 5000

Less drilled holes = less stress risers= less breakage = easy to knife edge and lighten.

It does have a casting number, but I can't tell you.

( it is inside something!!)

Old thread but the crank in my L28 F54 block reads P30.

I know the L24 blocks are P30 stamped, does this mean I have an L24 crank in it? Or is there another stamping on the crank?

LD28 cranks = V0740 stamp. (83mm stroke)

Photo of stamping is here.

Gav L26 blocks are P30 also but the are different to a L24 P30 with valve notches at the top of the bore.

I believe you will find the P30 is a L26/L28 crank. The part number for these is 12200-P3000.

Also the 330 260c/280c crank part number is 12201-P3000-SV but I don't know what is stamped on one.
