Hi guys, I started “playing” with one of my 240z that I recently purchased. And yes, I am making one hell of a mess, all I can say is that god for roller doors to hide the pain. I want to restore this car as close to original as possible (with a few exceptions) and I want to know if there is any way of telling for sure what the original colour would have been. I have taken a few areas back and they reveal several different possibilities and I would like to be correct. That said, if it was a crap colour then……………… Have a good Christmas, Cliff
  4. Thanks for your comments guys. I have to finish my 'better' one off first so I guess she can sit in the shed why I think about it. Who knows, hopefully, my kids will be interested in the old Datto when they get a bit older and we can all play with it together. The idea of swapping my 2nd 240 for a 260 interests me as then I will have one of each but I still think the 240s are the best (yeah I know already ). Have a good weekend
  5. To chev or not to chev, that is my question. I recently purchased 2 X 240z off a fellow member and will restore one of them fairly stock (the better of the two). I was thinking of maybe selling or storing the other (as I have the room) or maybe even swapping for a 260z 2+2 (+cash adjustment as applicable), but the more I look at the little car the more I think she wants a chev under the bonnet [son]. What are your thoughts? Oh, and for those who are going to call me nuts – I have known that for many years now!!! Enjoy Cliff

Budget depends on the car. i.e. I can do a full restore or I am also happy to buy a restored one if its the right deal.
