I bought an l26 engine a awhile ago and it had a CE cam as well. Has two numbers on the end CE692A and CE725. I can't get to the motor for a awile to check specs but is there anyone who would still have details on these cams?

You should be able to hear through the manifold (intake or exhaust ) where the leak is coming from.

Thanks PB260Z, they are an acquired taste I think. Had to give mine away 17 or so years ago and there was a coupe down the road from me for sale for ages at $250. It was good cond too.

Here are a few pics of the Blue car interior, it is about as good as an original car can get I think. Gave this car a wipe over and got it running, that's about it until I get more time. Engine is a bit smokey but runs fine.

Interior of the my white car is pretty good as is the body. Does have a few car park battle scars though. I have a 5spd manual and a 260 motor to go in it soon. Also had the flywheel lightened a bit. Pic was before I cleaned it. Had been sitting for many years.

This is the 1976 sedan I found in the back shed of a wreckers in northern NSW. Was lucky to find this one and it also came with a pretty good parts car as a bonus.

Hi guys, posted a few questions about 260z wheels a while ago and said I would put up some info on my cars when I had time. Had a 74 240k sedan given to me from my Grandfather as my first car, loved it but when it needed some work and car was not worth anything I let it go. :'( Only a few years ago my Granddad passed away and got me thinking about that old car again. Even though I hadn't seen one for 15 years I thought I had to find one. I came across a wreck by chance and bought it with the thought of fixing it. It was pretty bad but lots of good parts so I kept my eyes open. About 2 years ago a guy rang me regarding a wanted ad I put on gumtree. He said he typed in 240k for sale in google and my details came up as the first response so he rang me. Pic of 1977 sedan from Melbourne.

I was lucky enough to be contacted via a wanted ad for one of my 240k's. The guy in his 40's was selling it after his father pased away few years earlier. He asked me what it was worth and I was honest but was still able to negotiate at point of sale. He was more interested in what I was going to do to it I think. He didn't want to see it butchred or sent to UAE. Wanted ads are hit and miss but you never know. I was at the first search result he had in google.

Been told it is the same offset. Have a mate hopefully coming through with genuine wheels for me in exchange for some 240k parts. These are just too cheap to pass by really and I do have 2 240k's so these will probably end up on bluey. Thanks .

Sorry dat2kman, wasn't entirely clear with what I said. The rim is marked as Bridgestone Zona Proto-1. No reference to tyres. Can only find one good pic online with no reference to 260z. Owner says they are original early 260z rims but I doubt it. Will probably buy anyway as price is right.

Hey guys, didn't think it would be the case but thought I would check. Did 260z ever come with Bridgestone Zona Proto-1 as original fit or would this just have been an aftermerket fit.

Thanks for the offers guys but is looking like freight is going to be the killer after the purchase price. Still getting some quotes, I really need to find a set in Brisbane.

Totally agree dat2kman, everything very well sorted in classiczcars. Just hope now 240k forum is not being used so much they don't scrap it, so many years of trial, error and genuine experience.And I am sure you feel the same with this site. Wonder why our section took off on that forum and not this seeing as though america didn't get the 240k.

Thanks boyblunda, will put some info and pics in the intro area soon. I used to frequent the classiczcars forum under the 240k section but unfortunately almost everyone has left in favour of facebook much to my dissapointment.

Still on the hunt for 4 so as to make a full set but singles could also be the go. Offset is closer so I think is best to go for the 260 rim. But some of those iron crosses look pretty good. As for centres, hopefully I can sort something from ebay if I eventually get a set without centres. Thanks for the info. This is the car they will be going on one day.
