Try ebay US and also the 240z 260z 280z enthusiasts page on Facebook. I got almost all of my parts from those two places. I got nearly all of the interior plastic trim panels in excellent condition for $110 + $90 shipping, from the FB page. Unbeatable value.

Yeah Gav, I'm after a block that'll go to 89mm or more. I'm not using the LD28 crank though. I still have it but may choose to sell it, as I've gone in a slightly different direction.

I've seen that 240K in person. It's in OK condition and looked better in person than it does in the photos but you'd need to be committed to a full restoration. Is it worth 21K? To someone with the skills to do the work themselves, maybe.

Hey people, As the title states, I'd like to purchase any L28 F54 or N42 blocks that might be available. They can be bare block, bottom end or whole engine. I am willing to travel to pick them up or pay for freight. If you've got any you don't want, let me what you want for them. Cheers, Shaun

Probably still a decent price, as all the work has been done. There was an engine in the parts for sale section that was described as a "hot L28". only asking $5k. Buy that, drop it in and you've got a great 240 for 40k. Still pretty cheap.

I agree with Dat2kman. Having recently priced similar gear, $4500 is a very good price for something well built. If I weren't already too far in to turn back, I'd be all over this. Good luck with the sale.

If you're after a one stop experience, you could try Outer West Smash Repair and Resto on Coombes Drive, Penrith. I have no experience with them at all and have not spoken to anyone that has had work done by them. I was fueling up my Z one afternoon and a sky blue, Datsun Sports/Fairlady pulled up on the forcourt, the guy hopped out and almost ran over to me. He introduced himself as Marcel Santini. Apparently he is the owner of OWSR and he seemed like a very keen Datsun fan. Unlike most smash repair folk, he seemed very keen to take on resto work. I did ask him whether the work they did was good or shite. While he was taken aback by the question, he seemed genuine in the belief that his company produced a quality result for his customers. I should have mentioned this up front. The EFI head would be great. I'd be willing to take either early carby of late EFI.

As the title states, I'm after an e88 head. If you have an engine with the e88 head and don't want to separate them, I may consider taking the whole lot. I would also be interested in an F54 or N42 block. Cheers, Shaun

Thanks but unfortunately, they won't fit. They would almost be perfect if I had an early 260 with the shorter shock towers in the rear. Unfortunately, due to the taller towers in the later 260s, the quarter window panels and quarter panels don't fit.

I was hoping to find someone who can do a nice job at plastic welding from the back of the panel. I had taken other stuff to an old guy in Western Sydney who was very good. He ran a little workshop, doing plastic and fiberglass repairs in his garage. I called his number on Friday and sadly, was informed by his wife that he passed away last year. If I can't find someone good, I'll have a crack at some DIY.

I've recently picked up some of the interior plastic panels I was after. Unfortunately, one the pieces is a little faded, worn and has a moderate sized crack which I would like to have repaired. Does anyone know of a place that can do interior plastic repair/refurbishment in the Sydney area? Thanks

It seems a reasonable idea but I'm not sure I see the advantage of this over having a set of vernier calipers, thread pitch gauge and a drill and tapping/thread chart. I'd say a bigger problem for you will be the length of bolt/screw becoming mixed up rather than thread sizes.

So, who did you eventually buy from and what did they charge for shipping?
