  1. Yeah i keep them in stock, but the last genuine filter i saw with that style of logo on it came off an engine that was parked in 1989. Is that a 43G0A or an old W part number?
  2. Love the detail, is that a NOS oil filter or a cosmetic reproduction?
  3. All items are still available from Nissan, various online resellers will also have them.
  4. I'd consider reporting it as stolen too, unless you have absolute proof that it was crushed. Its not the 90s, surely they'd think twice before throwing a 70s sports car on the pile.
  5. This is the ultimate set up for smiles per miles, just needs an option box
  6. I recently dug one of these dizzys out of dads stash and with the idea of throwing together a cheap electronic ignition system using a generic GM HEI module, however i'm a little stumped as it appears the dizzy drive is 180 degrees out which i've never seen before on any L series distributors. Iv'e got two and both are the same so it would appear that's how its supposed to be. Anyone come across this before?
  7. Maybe the blokes at endrust were onto something, these things seem to rust from the inside out!
  8. In my experience Bolting on Webers/mikunis to a standard engine makes a massive difference. You Get a noticeable power and torque increase and it sounds great, But i would highly recommend fitting a decent exhaust and cam at the same time if you want to get the most out of them.
  9. Hey guys, after discovering that a later model Zed booster doesn't bolt in, i was wondering if there are any booster upgrades that don't involve drilling holes in the firewall? cheers
  10. Recently Installed an L28 into My Dads Zed, After getting it running and driving i noticed the same thing, then realised i hadn't fully tightened the Valve cover bolts down! Definitely a bit of a scare
  11. A while ago a bloke posted about the 'ORGAZM' Zed on the Downunder datsuns Facebook page, if i remember correctly he said it ended up getting crushed after getting caught hooning one to many times
  12. Yeah i only saw it on the weekend driving up to birdwood datsun day, didn't get an up close look, but it looked good from what i could see. I'll definitely make en effort to go and have a good look and take Photos
  13. 308 now Resides in The showroom at Bridgewater Nissan, Bog stock on hubcaps, Mint condition
  14. Don't worry guys, Thats the last time she'll be out until it see's serious work. They are Works Airbox's, not running filters on that day for various reasons. As you might have noticed the motor is very far gone! Poor thing saw a lot of hard miles before it was put away. We've taken it to a couple of events since we took it out of the shed, but the novelty has worn off. Next time it see's a road, it will certainly be roadworthy. Also,According to My old man, the Booster is the original one
  15. Love this! Hope to see it at birdwood
  16. Hey mate, awesome car! Im also washing dishes to pay for my Dattos
  17. Good to see another person in the same boat as me, part time job and at school- while trying to build a zed! Can't wait to see how this goes
  18. Love the black wheels, definitely improves the look
  19. Dad and i will be There with the 240z
  20. Hi all, Wondering where i can Get Fujitsubu L6 extractors, have looked around the net and haven't dug up much, Wondering how much its going to cost and where to get them from, also if anybody as a second hand set they want to sell cheers
  21. Im 16 and halfway through My Ls and have to agree with the guy above me, I drive a 180b with SUs extractors and a two inch exhaust, and thats plenty fast for my level of experience. Dad has let me drive the 240 a few times, it has an L26 with webers and a cam and goes like a cut snake and sounds amazing, definitely enough power, and makes my car feel slow, i would say a manual conversion is a must and leave it at that
  22. Awesome first car! Would love my own Zed but the 180b will suffice Had the 180b 6 months before i could drive it, It was worth the wait Dad put a L28 with twin SUs into a customers auto 240z awhile back and reckons it was quick as, Enjoy
  23. Unfortunately They were one of the first things to go as they were considered Nerdy/unfashionable at the time, so they are long gone :-\. They were also didn't comply with the ADRs at the time Also removed the Webers and extractors today, in preparation for the resto of the works extractors. The increased free flow difference is pretty substantial when comparing the works extractors to the street version The webers also need a rebuild after 20 years, but that will come later, we've already started gathering what we need for that
  24. This does the paint a lot of justice, its the 'nice' side of the car will take some of the Patina'd paint next time i see it
