Hey guys Ive got a few 240z parts sitting around that im not going to use and would like to see go to a new home. Im just going to make a list of stuff and just ask for photos of things your interested in to save me having to take photos of everything and upload them. - 240z seats ( need recovering but are a good base. Have rails attached) - 240 fuel tank. - 240z air box - 240z SU carbs and manifold ( car started with them but they need rebuild and tidy up. One fuel bowl cover has a crack. No linkage.) - 240z brake booster ( working condition but needs painting) - series 1 centre console - 240z bumpers ( there painted but are straight and still have overriders and rubbers but would need painting or chroming again ) - 240z black door cards ( good condition with no speaker holes but the masonite on one of them has started warping in the bottom corner) - 240z heater fan and condenser setup that sits underdash - 240z indicator and wiper assembly with black plastic shroud and new key barrel ( can seperate if price is right) - 240z fuel rail - brand new r31 blank rotors for the rear. - front brake calipers Also have off a 74 2+2 - 260z manual pedal box - 260z brake booster (unknown if working but doesnt look bad) - 260z steering column - 260z grille ( needs a refresh ) Let me know if your looking for other things as i have more and might be able to help out. Just make me an offer for anything your interested in. Located in Echuca but if your not in a hurry regularly go to melbourne and can deliver. Can also post things at buyers expense. Thanks Matt

I agree the sound is good but lacks a bit of something when compared to that 3.0l and im finding it hard to see an advantage of that engine with that rather low power output. For the same cost (dont know the cost but i dont think it would have been cheap not that bloke would be that worried about cost) he could of had a well built l series with more power and still had a bit of the original / vintage L series feel to it.

Hey Guys Ive tried searching everywhere but to my suprise no luck. As my Z is in pieces. Im wondering if someone who has a standard crossmember and engine mount setup can tell me how much clearence there is if i wanted to lower the engine in my car until it starts hitting? and what it hits on first? Even better if someone on here has lowered the L series in there Z could tell me the parts needed for clearence? Different sump? Ill be making "world cup crossmember" style mounts but as i want to compete in Targa events im not allowed to modify the crossmember only the mounts themselves. Anyway any help on this topic is apreciated Thanks Matt

Looking good, is that carbon fiber done with a viynl wrap ? -
Yeah from what ive heard its a common fix on these boxes and once there sorted there quite a joy to drive with. Yes lou Mondello seems to be the go to man for these gearboxes and im sure would be able to do the fix on the pins and springs slop in the mechanism. Maybe some of the roadster crew would be interested in the box? Could try advertising it to that crew if i have no luck here

Hey Guys Im putting the FS5C71A gearbox also know as the early flange gearbox out of my 240z up for sale. I dont need it for the application im using the car in and will instead run a later silvia box so this box is without a use. It came out of my Z which had been in storage for a long time so it hasnt done much work. I drove the car and the gearbox drives really good and the gears them selves feel tight. The only thing that needs doing is the pins on the stick assembly need welding back up as they wear away over time. From what ive been told this job is very common for these gearboxes and anyone that knows there way around these boxes should be able to do it. Its not a big job as there easily accessable from the outside of the gearbox. I assume if youre interested in this box i dont need to mention it but these have really desirable ratios and are becoming quite rare now. Also comes with the tailshaft to suit and i can have the gearbox dropped to you if you live in Melbourne. Any questions feel free to ask Price is $800 Thanks Matt

Someone more knowledgeable than me might be able to say otherwise but im pretty sure this thing will have an EFI e88 head? The one the racers want for its small combustion chamber. If thats the case then the head alone is valueable from what im told. Thanks Matt

Ive got a spare one off a 260z i dont need. It was off a manual car but looks like an auto one from your diamgram. Couldnt you just use an auto one as you wouldnt have the auto kick down thing in a manual car?
