  1. Thanks guys. They are the old school xxr 513 in a 16x7 plus 14. The rears could have been much wider as the 2+2 archer's are massive.r Tigers are a 205/55/16. Front is 3mm clear of strut rear could have run a 225 easy.
  2. Got these for a steal. Looks great.
  3. Got these for a steal. Looks great.
  4. Guys i finally got some rims for the Z, they are a 16x7 +15 XXR513. Question, rims fit perfect so no issue there, wondering what width tires to get 225/55/16 or 215/55/16. WIll either rub on a 260z 2+2 Car is in the tire place as we speak so any answer woudl be good.
  5. 260z alloy wheels http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/beerwah/wrecking/nissan-datsun-14-mags-x-5-factory-old-school/1092644096 $50 bucks hell yeah
  6. any chance of $800 cash
  7. So the gearbox has been in the car for two days and wow, ok my old gearbox was really snagged. New box is soooo smooth and nice, rifle bolt feel to every change. No noises or whines and I have the use of all me gears again. If anyone needs further info, pm and I'll help where I can. As I have two more close ratio boxes lying around, im going to do convert these and sell them on if anyone is interested.
  8. cheaper to get a new set of carbs, the guys in lton are great but ridiculously expensive. I recently rebuilt my dads carbs with a full SU kit and it was only $180
  9. let us know how you went i wander why they stuffed up the order anyhow. I need to get mine to a dyno to see the fueling might need to lean it out at part throttle a bit
  10. That was the idea nizz untill the easy out snapped in the hole. But yes, ideally, I'll do that. Just need a good spray bar or upgrade to an internally oiled cam, bonus.
  11. Hay datman How much you want for the spray bar? I'm not going to remove the whole cam journal just for that one bolt, i think i will simply have to do with two bolts for now. I have a new rocker cover to go on once i crinkle paint it, so when its out again, i will try and drill around with a small drill and tap a new hole. I need the car this weekend for a car show, so what ever it is now, hope it hold for 500kms. Stupid old cars, ahhh we love them.
  12. So i took my rocker off today to fix up the weeping seal i had and to helicoil all the holes. NOW i took the rocker off and the the end of one of the spray bars fell out and to cap it off, to take it off, the middle screw snapped in the cam journal. I fixed the spray bar as best i could, so it holds nice and tight, however i tried to remove the snapped bold and nothing, i actually snapped my easy out aswell, so no only holding with two bolts. So is this an issue? Can you get a new or custom spray bar? Seeing as the cam journals cant be removed without throwing the head away, WTF do i do now.
  13. LOL yeah saw it come up, too good to be true, however i cant seam to pick it up and guy is not willing to package it up due to size, so im stuck, technically its still for sale. LOL
  14. GUYS DESPERATE HERE need some parts picked up from redcliffe QLD to bring down to as close as possible to Tasmania, Melbourne Sydney what ever. SO i can the organised boxing and shipping. Parts consist of a center console and odds and sods. ANYONE OUT THERE willing, happy to pay
  15. Oh well, looks like angle grinder it is. LOL. If anyone has 2+2 part numbers, that would be great
  16. anyone got a part number then?
  17. Thanks ZZZZZED and sorry 44014 but i am soooo much after that old school look sos RKR will have to do
  18. Hi Guys OK so finally looking at some wheels, looking at rota RKR in a 15x8 at zero offset. Question is, on a 2+2 260z, will they fit with no guard rolling etc
  19. heeelllllll yeah i already had withdrawal syndrome
  20. either way, take my money and shut uppppppp
  21. I didn't think the 432 had a normal tank, i though they had the 110l tank and spare wheel in the boot
  22. Well with all my gearbox dramas i took it upon myself to rebuild my own box, have enough of them lying around. So long story short, i have a close ratio stuffed gearbox in the car and one spare and a 280zx style box which at some point has been rebuilt. The main difference, other then the synchroes, is that 1 and 2nd gears on the close ratio are different to the 280zx box. 3, 4 and 5 including reverse is the same across both boxes. So for those who cant find parts to rebuild steel style synchro boxes, NO PROBLEMS, you can use the 1 and 2nd gear set from the close ratio box and put them into the 280zx box. HOW do you do so, well easy. Firstly, both boxes need to be seperated etc, cleaned etc. Then you need to press out the steel synchreos from the close ration 1 and 2nd gear set and likewise, press out the bauk rings from the 280 zx 1 and 2nd gear set. Then you simply swap the gear sets and press in the brass syncho bauk rings onto the old 1 and 2nd gear sets. Remainder of gears can remain as is, it all fits exactly the same and whilst the box is not yet in the car, on the bench, it feeeelllllsss very nice. All up, cost me $200 fro a full bearing and sunchroes and the layshaft and main shafts nuts. I will post some pics up soon. If you need details, PM me. Thanks
  23. Gearbox stip down has begun, parts on their way, full kit to rebuild the new box with old gear set was $114 form the us including synchreos. So essentially i will be converting the old gearset to run with new synchros. Also for those who are looking into rebuilding an older servo synchro gerbox, have a look here http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/911_901_synchros/911_901_synchros.htm Parts are interchangeable at a fraction of the cost.
  24. Thanks Howdy, yeah i now have three 2.9 gearboxes, so i could put one good one together with steel synchroes, the issues is all have a completely lunged third gear etc. AND as you have said, i have just learned that the cones can be pressed in and out soooooo, i am going to rebuild the 2.9 gear-set with warne style synchronizes. Best of both worlds. SOOOO now to take it all apart and pray for the best. So the aim if for a 2.9 gearset with a 3.9 diff. YEEHHHAAAA.
  25. i don't know but so far i have two 2.9 gearboxes, and one 3.2 gearbox. I can rebuild the 3.2 easily not the 2.9 as you cant get steel synchroes anymore
