  1. I like the lambo van that had me fooled for a second or 2.
  2. Do you have a lathe for metal work? I dont see why you can't machine it down re-thread it, I did something with a B&M shifter that is along those lines but not to a huge degree. give it a go choose the right wood and should look good and genuine 1 off. go for it end of the day if you stuff it up just get a shifter seeming everyone is "manualizing" there zeds should be a few around people be happy to part with???
  3. Stupid welding course I want to do starts on the day of my end of year exams so will have to wait till next year when they run it again ..... ANNOYING! I was real keen on it too.
  4. I have a feeling I might need to do this myself..... I'm glad you have posted this Lurch. Has anyone bought a new door skin from rare spares??? I'm considering doing it for the drivers door seeming its got a fair few stress lines in the metal, might see how a hammer and dolly goes bit trial and error not exactly experienced in metal panel beating / shaping but really keen on learning if people have some good tips that be great
  5. Trust me a lot better than me just guessing how things go together/work. With out a doubt has saved me a lot of hardship.
  6. Yeah I'll get some 95 on next fill with lead replacement. Cheers
  7. Thanks a bunch Add you saved me $50 for sure
  8. Its his car end of the day, if it makes him happy we can't be to harsh, Some of those cars are so amusing though, this page has become one of my fav's. Well said on the last post zedman. I'm fond of the mustang too.
  9. Just done a little trip down to the Shell servo in the car with my mate in the passenger, had a magna wanting to drag me at the lights *sigh* pumped up the tyres fronts had about 7psi in them hence the shocking steering, rears were ok about 30psi, pumped the fronts to about 26 psi made the WORLD of difference, also put $10 of fuel in, Just wondering just filled it with ULP should I have put the lead replacement in as well? its a L26 engine just not sure?
  10. Great job so far can't wait to see more done, all the best with it.
  11. Nice work dude keep it up
  12. according to this site here http://www2.zhome.com:81/History/colors.html it must be of 2 colours, seeming it is a 72 with brown interior must be either green or brown metallic ? It looks like it use to be red at some point in time also. Other site i looked at is http://www2.zhome.com:81/History/ZColorGallary/index.html Any idea's anyone? Just had a little bit of a look just then, i wiped away some of the grease and dirt away from one area of the engine bay to find a darker slight metallic looking green to what the outside has been painted, but what I dont get is there is bits of red here and there hidden away and under the ugly brighter green that has been painted on the car.
  13. HAHAHA ahhhh that put a smile on my face

  23. I want mine to not look bright flat green
  24. Yeah the green on the VE's one of my friends has a SV6 ute in the colour I like it. Might spray a fender see how it turns up.
  25. Thanks a lot everyone for the positivity, Without a doubt can't wait to get stuck into it. Without a doubt I'll keep everyone posted with how it goes I do have a color in mind for it and wanted to know what people think of the new commodore green color??? My house mate tends to think it wouldn't suit a zed but I do like it myself. Yeah I was planning to join the F-SAE project my uni does every year, looks interesting plus might give me some good idea's for my zed, I was thinking somewhat of power be easier to do a project on something like custom made manifold for optimum performace it is REALLY hard to think of something that would be exactly perfect to do it on seeming it needs to be rather lengthy and many trial and error tests need to be made. Also needs to be with in a budget to seeming we have to fund it ourselves if we don't find sponsorship. All for ideas in this matter. But end of the day guess it will come to me.
