yeah might look into that one before i start to bleed might be the shoes need adjusting or are worn out to much, maybe a kink in the lines somewhere also? guess ill find out more when i pull the wheels off, its annoying because of all the assignments for uni at the moment plus having a car I want to spend all my time on. Joys of life.

Yeah I think its the fact the tyre's are a bit flat hahaha. Also I need a final year project and I'm fair keen on the idea of doing something on the Zed to improve it in some way, either through steering suspension and brakes type ordeal, OR through engine and power, more into comforts than power. But thanks for the heads up might look into that. Will do on the grammar, English was by far the worst subject for me at school, Hence why I do a science Degree, if you think my spelling is bad you should see my hand writing... Lets just say as good as a doctor. Yeah the car does have fair bit of rust and yes is green but I wanted to paint it my own color anyways. The engine isn't to bad in her runs not to shabby interior isn't all that bad, but yeah the body work is extensive, not sure if i should get it soda blasted or just do bit by bit and paint stripper it and sand it by hand, then do the cutting and welding and then do the rest, I'm actually fair excited about doing all the metal work I find it intersting get back to me in a year or 2 see if I'm still excited about it but yeah overall end of the day I'm happy to have a zed in not horrible condition. But Sorry about the poor spelling and grammar I'm just lazy/bad at it. Thanks first person that i feel isn't attacking me about the purchase in some little way. End of the day its still a 240Z which in my mind the most sort after, a 2 seater again more sort after. Paying 10k+ for me at this time in my life isn't so much of a option hence rather a project, plus find body work exciting love to learn more and more, I'm more of a get shown or read and try to copy "with some trial and error" rather than pay someone to do my work for me. More appreciation for the car in my mind also. but yeah grinder and welder will be my best friends, should invest in some good ones. P.S I ran spell check this time for everyone

first thing to go, that shocking steering wheel, in some of the pictures the green looks real light it really isn't that light green its more so like the first pic. they were just some shots Fu took. shame about it having a sunroof, but as you can all see fair average shape, dash is perfect no cracks, seats are in awesome cond. rest of it is average to good. engine is stock to my knowing.

btrought it off Fu, you all know him, bought the green one he landed a few months ago for $1600 he had got some parts for it and sold it to me for ....... ha suspense, rather not say to be honest, its not the cleanest of cars and its straight to a degree, "doors got kicked in by some Tools who thought it be fun to try and steal, when they failed they continued to damage it up *sighs* wish i could damage them up...... jk , it has its share of rust as most cars from the 70's do, fu told me it got restored 3 years ago ... which is the worst resto i have ever seen in my life, new sheets were welded in but its just flat sheeds in the floor looks bit draggy so might sauce some better floors and put them in, has the L26 in it, runs OKish, everything in it isnt horrible but nothing flash good project car ill have fun beating some metal for it, over all im happy and ill tell you this i paid about double what Fu did, yes he made a cheap buck and what not but end of the day still a half ok zed for not a bad price, and its a 240! HELLS YEAH! fair stoked about that, im confident with the right income "almost broke now thanks FU!" it wont be long and ill have this puppy on the road, wouldnt need a huge amount for roadworthy, brakes are horrible but all will be done in time, Having said anything still very indecisive to what I want to do to this car, coming to feel how insanely hard it was to turn at low speeds "good arm workout! screw the gym membership get a zed" I think ill put my final year project into creating a power steering system, A. useful for me, B. interesting, C. others might want me to make one for there zed too. Hey everyone just got my first zed today a 240z only one problem really annoying me. as i go to use the brake it goes all the way to the floor then at the last little push actually starts to work but poorly, i bled the fronts "yet to do anything about the rears" and pumped the hell out of it and yet no good, pads are fine disk rotars are average but shouldnt really hinder it to much at the moment, i mean this thing is annoying because its hard to move the car. maybe a master cylender? any advice be great, more detail the better. Owe and i did bleed the master first, one of them bleed fine, the other kinda dribbled alot the at the front i mean, think it said R on the cap, but yeah guessing poor as hell presure, i prob tryed about 10 times of the pumping and bleeding ordeal but still only came out as a poor trickle rather then a spert like the rest. ideas?

Are you complaining for the sake of complaining? I was voicing my opinion I have the right to one so SHHHHHHHHHH. All I was saying is its sometimes sad when people go destroy great engineering and design and go destroy a nice original car for the sake of trying to make it like something it isn't. My opinion i'm sure there are others like me to who prefer a un-moded datsun over one that has sparts of other makes and models etc. But dont dig a me for a opinion.

ive seen some sad stories about mutalation like that it is sad but then again what ever floats your boat, my mind if you want a super fast car buy a new clubsport or GT-P dont go destroying classic cars and putting different make engines in them etc. then again im a person who loves a good restored car, not some mutalation that hardly has a centimeter of orginality to it, P.S. Would prefer to have a 2 seater so my mates dont sting me with the " can we go in your car" which i get now with my torana ... annoying! without a doubt it would but im not big on plastic, its not as sexc and its got that 80's look im not fond of, 80's was good for one thing. ROCK! hahahaha if i was going to go a 280 might as well get a 300zx Yeah that is a bit of luck / fate? I had a same king of thing happen when i brought my torana, mate at uni said how he spent all weekend putting in the engine of a torana in his mates car that he was selling i asked what it was. 2 days later had me a torana talked him down from 3k to 1300 with a extra gear box and HQ stud pattern fronts, hahahaha. Then again he prob pulled price down coz i was his mates mate. still was good find for me, kind of hoping same thing will happen with a Zed just about all my mates who work as mechanics or spray painters know what im after so hope word gets around the 400k of people down here never see zeds in geelong its annoying least i know it wont be as common as my torana everything here is prem's and kingswoods.

Bad news its been sitting at the side of one of dads sheds for last 4-5ish years, came from my mates 280zx when me and him were putting in his new engine at my house, for some stupid reason i said i might use it one day to make a buggy ... well that idea died along with alot of my other mad scientist idea's, havent really been out to the olds house for a while they live rural vic, id fair say its no good/worth your time dude. It barely run/ ran with smoke/ overheated a fair wack back when it was in the 280zx hence why we took it out, sadly that zx rolled down a embankment about 3-4 years ago to, was a nice car. I'll go out there in a week or 2 and have a look how bad it looks cant remember if we blocked any of the ports with rags when we took the manifold off its a short motor i know that much. I'll get back to you.

I agree more then happy to help others as i have said I spray cars as a hobby if anyone wants help with body work in the not to far region of me more then happy to help out, more than anything just keen to get a Zed start working on it and have it to go to events drives etc with other zed owners.

I agree lurch it be a lucky find if i did but luckier things have happened to people got to be optamistic, though I am being realistic im still hopeful to get a decent Zed requiring little work for about 5k, I dont think it can be that far fetched. Just got to start looking real hard..... anyone for a non-stop drive till i find one ? hahaha might need to do some country driving, its just so hard to find those kind of cars in paddocks. then again for some reason people keep going to my parents home trying to buy my torana and its barely visable from the road.....
