Yeh it dosnt take much effort to change the pump while it's apart and because the engine has been sitting for a while the water pump seal could more than likely have gone dry.

yeh I get up early in the mornings so i can get a couple of hours in working on our cars before i go to my other job. Then i come home do a few more hours after work

clock far left, amp fuel middle, oil temp right ,tacho then speedo oh and when i get a chance i will pull your heater out to see if it is leaking

All the removable panels have been prepped for paint so now it is time to get in to the body. I have started with the worst part of the car "the radiator sport" This would have to be the worse one that i have seen on a zed so i have decided to remove it all together fix it and put it back in. not only does it have rust but there is also accident damage and some one else's dodgey repairs that i have to rectify check out the pics

Heyyyy!!! Time for an update.I have installed the dash but first i had to replace the heater core. As you can see the old one was a bit rusty then i installed the dash (Still have things to do before it is finished) I ordered some ebay special seat skins and slipped them over some seats i got from Roberto. I am 95% happy with the fit. But then i can remeber roberto saying he had some extra foam added to the seat base so that might have made a difference to the fit Now i am in the middle of prepping the engine to be fitted to the car. I currently have it stripped to bare block and head. I am replacing the timing belt and water pump while i am at it. I cant wait to get the engine sitting in the bay so It stops looking like a 4WD.

By IP I guess you mean improved production. (I'm new to racing) What can you do to your car in this class. Or should I say what can't you do. Would I have to keep the a12? Last time I built a Datsun 1200 it got way out of hand. I can see the same thin happening with this one. They are do simple to work with.

as my budget is low I will keep the A12 for a while. this will also alow me to run in the lower classes which is a good thing as i am new to the racing scene. When i get more experienced ill run a nice webbered l20b. that should be plenty enough to pull a 850 kg car around a track ur up a hill

I picked up my race coupe and all the spares. I am more than happy with my buy It is all complete and there seams to be double of every thing in the spares. As you can see its all in bare metal so nothing is hidden. rust wise it is pretty good and you could eat off the undercarriage. the passenger side sill panel is missing but that is no biggy because you can buy them brand new for $40 let me know if you all would like to see a build thred otherwise ill keep it for dattsun1200.com

Has any one noticed how a series 1 center center console won't fit a series 2 240z. The gear shift hole is in the wrong spot and the fuse box hole is different. and I gave my series 2 console away to. Does any one have a series 2 console the would part with?
