    Well there you go. I should have snuck a look when I was at His place a few weeks ago. Think I was a bit destracted from the bad news he gave me about my so called l20b race engine

    He must have chafed teM from last time I looked at it then because last time I saw it it had hitachi su carbs and he claimed 260 hp. Weather that was at the wheels or the crank I don't know. I know he gets Chris Milton to do his head work and he is one of the best in SA

    I don't think you can compare Chris fergusons car to Peter halls. They are in a different class. Peter halls is also only a l26 with su carbs and puting out over 260 hp. I wod say that is good going. Chris's car is a l28 with triples. He also runs bigger brakes and and has all adjustable suspension.

    Yeh i have had my vg30et apart and I know what the lower plenum looks like. I just never thought about it before. 350hp would have been more than enough to keep me Happy in my z31 any way. One thing I have seen that I thought was cool. Some one in the states is making 4 barrel manifolds for them. I had visions of puting a vg30 with a 4barrel carb in my old 1963 blue bird wagon

    Aparrently in the not to distant past Nissan did make some reissue s30 chassis zeds however I havnt even seen a picture of one to say of this is true

    So what's stopping making a custom plenum to make it breath for more hp? There is aleady a guy making them as far as I know.

    Yeh you won't need them with 16x8 either. My 240z has. 9.5 rear and 9 front My Datsun 1200 has 15x8 with no flares

    I think it's well worth it for 22k. I remember a certain member who sold a red one with a v8 for almost double this price

    I like it. Sort of lotus like. I would take an awd turbo. Might make a good track car if it is light enough.

    Seeing that it is an import I would make sure it is a vg30 and not a vg20. If it is a vg20 I would ditch it and put a rb25 in it. Or wouldn't it be cool with a webbered l28.

    Yeh my sump has been cut and shut. There is about 1 inch between the sump bowl and the crossmember

    I have not had time topmost those pics up for you yet but I did have A quick look and noticed my sump isn't so much of a rear bowl as a center bowl. I guess that is why my engine sits so far back.

    Noooo don't wreck it. Either fix it your self. Or sell it to some one who will appreciate it. The 2 sweaters are very much an icon in the z31 community. I know of 2 in Adelaide. And one has been turned in to a track car
