    After finally getting my car on the road I find that some of the Tappets are very noisy. Checked the clearance and they are to specs. After taking the rocker cover off some of the cam lobes are scored and this seems to be where the noise is coming from when holding your ear down near the top of the cover. As this engine was rebuilt but now out of warranty due to the time it took to get it in the car I am looking for advise to fix the problem. Thanks in advance for any input.

    Hi David. I am leaning to this set up and would like to know a few things. Did you buy your Holly carb in Aus or USA and could you post a close up pic of your linkage setup. It is totally different from the AZC site as I figure the cable from AZC would be too short for RHD. Thanks Peter T.

    Coming along nice mate. Don't worry about the stuff in the house as I still have bits hanging about the house. They seem to get use to it after a couple of years.

    Just the way I went on the advise of members on this site. It is in and running and I am quite happy with it. The short shift is awesome and does modernise the old dear.

    Not sure mate as I bid on on Ebay and won. But I can't keep it. I do some silly things sometimes and the wife is not happy. I would suggest it would be safer to transport it than go over it to make sure of it's condition properly.

    Seems to be OK and runs qjuite well. Starts easy and is very responsive on the throttle.

    Manual gearbox. No bell housing. Pickup only Loganholme. Ok but won't hold in 5th gear. Can show the reason.

    Some pics of mount mod. Have it all in and went for a drive and with the short shift gear lever mod it is great to drive. A good tune and it will be a dream. Next thing to do is get my spare diff done up as the one in the car is clunky and noisy, and the drive train will be complete. At least I can now go for a drive, if only short distances.

    Holy crap. Fixing the speed bump issues with gearbox on Saturday. By "speed bump"I meant that I had to replace it and was waiting for other people to do the work required not a low mounted gear box. But as usual I am off to CQ this week and can not attend. If it was a home week I would be there. Have fun guys and don't forget to post pics.

    Gotcha, LHD might be a prob for the money they are asking as most LHD cars I have seen look like the suspension has dropped on the LHS on our roads. Must be the camber on the black stuff due to our RHD cars.

    All under control mate. Just following Whittie's and Lurche's instructions. Tail sharft is also shortened by 50 mm. Also have a short shift kit to go in so all should be good. Will post results.

    SR 20 box mate. The rear mount is 35mm further back than the standard box.
