  1. as a matter of interest, this car was parked in Queens Pde Nth Fitzroy for quite a while. It looked a bit untidy but decent and had a note on the windscreen "leave this car alone and it's not for sale". Now a very cheap resto buy from what I saw. Some other members here must have seen it.
  2. Google 'The Spoiler Network' in Qld. I purchased the larger 240z one for $300- delivered. Good quality and fit. Worth a look at least as they lots of fibre glass parts.

    WIDEBODY 240z

You could possibly have the items brought in as container fillers with American car parts dealers in Melb. shipping out of LA. That is what I do for a lot of parts which is a lot cheaper, although would take a bit longer, so if interested send a pm.
  4. Try www.spoilernet.com.au for a few fg items. I purchased the large spoiler 18 months back, $300- delivered, decent value I thought.
  5. For info, it was passed in at $1300-. Guess it was a private entry. Had a 2800 with 100000km on the clock, little rust. Running gear and front panels all straight, but not worth it as a fixer. Was pushed up by an internet bidder. Also interesting to see how it all works at Manheims but I'm sceptical about the on line bids. Wait to see where it will turn up next.
  6. Well, it's me. I just happen to have all the panels ready to repair the damaged front. Once sorted, both my son and daughter will join in the sprints with my white 240z. Will be residing in Moorabbin near Zedman. cheers
  7. I'll put my hand up, I'm a member of NDSOC also. I'm amused by this whole thing and may be it's all taken out of context. It's all about sharing ideas and having fun with like minded people regardless of club. I think the first comment here may be out of context. The NDSOC were an invited club with the roadsters display and were allocated an area for club members, there may have been a misunderstanding by gate staff about that. The ndsoc had been pushing the event and who ever was involved may have thought the wrong thing. Regardless, I have been a member of many clubs in and outside of cars, and the one most important thing is that a happy club is a successful club. I have noticed on this forum that more than the average number of negative comments appear which may suggest a bit of insecurity, get over it. Do what you need to do and have fun, we'll all go along with that and join in. My own special interest would be performance zeds, and if you incorporate as a club, which is the obvious thing to do, there is a real basis for sharing ideas and information. There's a lot of ex zed racers/ralliers out there with tons of knowledge. And if you ask, I'm John, known to some of you. I'm not really into display days and will be at my son's go Kart titles on the 6th.
  8. I believe somewhere there was a similar discussion and the rubber answer was the Volkswagon fender rubbers. The blind bolts were also discussed. If someone finds the subject can they link it here?
  9. Back to the original question? For a location, what about the parking area in the centre median of Cochranes Rd Moorabbin. Take 40 odd cars and would be empty. I'd be prepared to fire up a bbq in a factory around the cnr. if needed. Ash, Dimitri, help me out here- Central? no one too bother you? in 2 or 6 weeks time on a Sunday? Start with an informal shoot for a first off and see what happens for another time?? Over to who ever organizes these things. John
  10. That's exactly what I would like, I will try and pm you. cheers
  11. Wheels came overnight, they look great. Will have rubber on them for the next MSCA day at Calder. Not quite enough time for tomorrow at sandown. Great deal, Thanks Ben John
  12. Hi Ben, I'm down for a set. I have sent an email re the 17x8.5's I emailed about previously. john
