  1. um........yeah ok,
  2. I've tried the most common welding types and found Mig the best suited for me. It's easy, quick and affordable. I own a 200amp mig now and use it all the time, one of the best tools I have Here's a nice tutorial on how to setup and use a mig http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/tutorial.htm
  3. PM sent, I think?
  4. I've been doing a bit of research into if these will fit on a standard early 240z, and so far found that they will require spacers on the front and maybe even the rear as well? Can you confirm if they are a direct fit or not?
  5. Can you post a pic of the rim's, interested to know the color
  6. What the F***
  7. Thanks Craig, Returned home from OS to find a nice package in the mail, my new replacement plate! 100% match to the original 240z, Thanks again -AB
  8. I'm not sure where the replacement panels come from, but they don't come from nissan. From what Rob said to me was, you can reshape them to fit but it's more work. If your door skins are rusted beyond repair it's your only option any way. My door skins had a few rust holes and one was damaged due to an car accident at some point " picture below" , after I got them off they changed shape and distorted, I thought they were throw away jobs. This is just before Rob put them back together, a bit of work went into straightening this out tho He did a awesome job, really happy with how the door's came out
  9. I'm no panel beater and I took those door skin's off myself in about 10 min, very very easy. Had inside & out sandblasted and Rob put it all back together. I actually bought two new door skin for a lot of $$$ which Rob refused to use. He said the line's were different in the shape and wouldn't line up with the car. Here is some pic's of the door reassembled
  10. This is Rob at ZFactory's door skin tool in action Only two welds to cut, one at each end, slowly bend the skin off at an even rate. And the skin can and was reused
  11. Yeah I was in a car about 5 min drive from Kinglake yesterday at about 7:30pm very weird place to be, hard too explain. It was like driving around at night, no sun light at all through the smoke. Didn't realize how bad it was until we got back into Melbourne at 10pm Sad to hear about the losses,
  12. I did use grease on the threads on my home make puller, and also heated up the cast around the pin. Still destroyed the thread, I dare say If I didn't heat it at all it would have striped the threads completely. Mind you, the extra cheap Bunnings thread and nut's I used might have been the direct problem, it worked twice and that's all I needed.
  13. I had a problem with a new clutch slipping once, turned out when I was putting the engine back in the car I slightly bent the fins on the pressure plate. It was a throw away job after 3 mouths
  14. ahh, well there you go... he must have forgotten, Where are the guards and what do you want for them?
  15. I'm having my rear guards re-done by Rob at ZFactory and are chasing a cheap pair of front guards to suit a 240z Hoping someone will have a parts car lying around, not worried about paint, rust etc. Will be sand blasted all I need is the lip around the wheel. Outer eastern Melbourne
  16. That's crazy and cool at the same time

    Rust Bullet

What's wrong with POR15? or should I say, in what way is Rustbullet better? I've used POR15 before, spray and brush. I thought they were almost the same product.
  18. I had that expander foam in my sills from the previous owner, I have no idear what they were thinking either. Very very hard to get out, in the end the sand blasted got it.
  19. Craig check your messages, pm sent,..... tho I'm unsure if it made it?
  20. So aegean, can you order us a plate? I'm keen, what other info do you need?
  21. Right plate below is off an early 240z Size is 100mm wide x 69mm high
  22. Here is a picture of the early 240z plate I'm after.
  23. Can you get all the different z plates made? or just a few? I'd be interested in a remake of an early 240z plate
  24. It's a shame, I've watched the UK Top Gear since the three current presenters have been on it, and loved every minute of it, But there is just no way the Aus version will come any where close. IMO there are three vital things they need, 1. A decent script writer, 2. Three good presenters, and 3. Money (and I mean lots of money) At the moment they have none of the above, maybe things will change, I hope.. I give it 5/10 content 3/10 presenters (One point each)
