  1. From the TEP website: "Webers work best at approx 4 psi of fuel pressure (Not 2 psi like many of the older books stated.) and you need Volume not Pressure to keep the float bowl full.We ONLY use the Carter Rotary pumps. They are High Volume (60-70 GPH) but only 4 psi." Some other sites do list them as 4-6psi!
  2. I fitted a Carter 4070 some years ago when I fitted my motor with Webers and haven't had any problems whatsoever. The attached link gives some info re the Carter and also their opinion of Facet fuel pumps. http://www.racetep.com/webfuelspark.html Cheers
  3. Ever since I have owned my 260 (about 13 years) the clock has never worked and was only correct twice a day! Recently I pulled the dash out to be re skinned and whilst it was away I took the back off the clock and blew out some dust and gave the workings a light spray with a spray similar to WD40. After putting the dash back in I was sitting in the car one day and heard this ticking sound and realised the clock had started to work again!! The only problem now is that it is going fast. I think it is making up for lost time:)
  4. Hi Gareth, Not that I am aware, I have had them for a few years and even then they were a special order through a friend.

  7. No worries Eau Rouge is a very fast corner. The car sounded great, it seemed like a lot of fun for you and your passenger! Spa is certainly a very special track, not like a lot of the new computer designed circuits.
  8. Check out this vid and make sure you have the headphones on! And another of the same car:
  9. Moto3 always produces the best races and Miller has developed into a genuine Championship contender. The Honda's are a lot quicker this year but Miller has got great track skills and is not scared to have a go. He is the best we have at the moment to replace Casey Stoner, but Marquez is a class act and seems to get better each race!
  10. Hi Andrew, I would suggest you speak with Stew Wilkins. He is away at the moment with the Sydney to London Rally but will back at work after the Anzac weekend. Geoff

Hope the next door neighbour wasn't too peeved:) Geoff
  15. Hi Peter, Seems like you have started something! I hope you have some parking wardens on standby in case everyone turns up! Rustic George may have to order in more eggs and bacon:)
  16. I think 'Aussie Bob' had already headed to Spain by then Peter, shortly before his ultimate demise!

  18. Hi Gav, The dash came out of a '71 model and it has a hole for a cig lighter (I presume) on the dash just to the left and below the revcounter. In fact there are two impressions there and the cig lighter hasn't been installed since the reskin. I don't know who did the dash, I bought the car in 2000 and it was done then. The speedo is 0 -160 mph. The tail light garnish looks pretty straight a couple of dings on the inside but not too bad, it has a rough paint job on it but I think it would probably clean up ok. As I said, I would prefer people to look at items first before committing. To those who replied (George, acf, wa, Gav) I will send some more detailed pics via PM to you tomorrow. Geoff

  20. The first FOSC meeting for 2014 is fast approaching! Wakefield Park near Goulburn on the 4-6 April. Just putting it out there in case anyone is interested (any Mexicans??) The entry forms are available on the FOSC web site and we are trying to get sufficient numbers to run this event again. Everyone enjoyed the December meeting at SMP and it would be good if we could do it again!

  25. Well a great weekend was had by all with 16 Zeds lining up for a days competition. As some would expect (Jason), the Group Sc cars were quickest with James Flett doing 1.05.4, Chris Gray 1.05.9, Russell Stanford 1.06.1, the first road registered car was Greg Redman with a 1.07.2 followed by the rest in the 9's through to the 13's. Results are on Natsoft. I have attached a few pics and hopefully we can do it again next year.
