  1. Hi guys, I have only just caught up with the rest of this thread. If you check out my add in the classifieds for the 1st October you will see I have a set of MR2 Illumina's for sale, still in the box! http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,3078.0.html
  2. I had some lowered King springs checked a while ago and the progressive front ranged from 100-170lbs when compressed while the linear rears were 120. I later changed to Lovell springs which were linear front and rear and I was advised they were 148 front and 160 rear. The free height for these was 305mm front and 311mm rear which I trimmed to get the ride height I wanted.
  3. If you are looking to buy shocks from the US including Illuminas, try this site they are usually one of the cheapest around and speaking from experience their service is very good. http://www.shox.com/
  4. As the attached link sets out it is a fairly straightforward job, not too difficult. Look for the instructions in the Tech section. Although he says to disconnect the front and rear brake lines it can be done without undoing these. On the front you can unbolt the caliper and support it under the guard while you remove the strut and the rear strut can be swung out from under the guard without disconnecting the brake line. http://www.sonic.net/~kyle/ I believe Supercheap sell spring compressors.
  5. If you want to stay with an R180 LSD diff, providing you have the correct one, you may wish to consider the alternative in this link. They are based in Melbourne and seem to have a good name. The diff required is an R180 3.9 with the letter K on the top of the casing. http://members.optushome.com.au/amaxeng/five10/diff.htm
  6. I am selling a pair of brand new Tokico Illumina BZ3099 shocks still in the box. These are for a 85-89 Toyota MR2 and are the ones used by Z owners in the US when they are sectioning their struts for coilovers. The normal Z Illuminas (BZ3015 front and BZ3016 rear) are actually the same length with the rears using an extension piece on the bottom to give the length for the longer Z rear strut tube. When converting to coilovers the front struts are sectioned by about 2 inches and the MR2 struts fitted and the rear struts are sectioned by the length of the normal Z strut minus the extension piece. All that is need with the MR2 struts is for the strut top to have the hole drilled out to take the larger shaft which is round rather than the Z 'D' shaped shaft. Asking $350 which is less than what I paid including the freight from the US. Geoff 0404 194294

  11. Callum, You may want to check out this site and in particular the link about fuel pumps. Basically, they indicate that for Webers you need high volume but relatively low psi (about 4). I took their advise and fitted the Carter 4070 with my triple 45's and no regulator and everything has worked well with no problems after 3 years. I am using the standard Z fuel rail. You will also find some other tuning info regarding spark, etc. I don't have the vacuum connected and run a standard 280 electronic distributor. http://www.racetep.com/webfuelspark.html#webfuel
  12. Get an oil catch can and run a pipe from the Rocker cover breather and another from the crankcase breather to the two inlet attachments on the side of the can.
  13. Probably heading to Wangaratta for the Forest Classic Rally this weekend.
  14. You may find the attached link of some assistance. Also check that the actual plug that connects from the headlight to the main wiring harness behind the grill is a correct fit, I have sometimes found that if I wiggle them around the headlight will dim if not correctly pushed together. http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/electrical.htm
