  1. Just a reminder I leave for Tassie tomorrow from Canberra, via Melbourne and return the same route on the 7th November. Let me know if you need my help.
  2. You can pick up Wilwood bias adjusters for around $90, but they would have to redo some of your brake lines too and aren't road legal.
  3. I am keen to see the outcome of this, I do have some issues, though I think I'm just going to take it to ACT Brakes and get a bias adjuster installed while I'm at it.
  4. They have lives...
  5. Ok good stuff, thanks
  6. I agree and my brakes were REALLY bad. I had to start braking 50m before others and my lack of experience meant I washed off way too much speed on most corners. I am looking forward to getting out there, maybe even with 5th Gear or an instructor and learn a heap more.
  7. Very cool, the best I got was 1.14, but with horrible brakes and no experience, so far I have only improved the brakes... Lol
  8. Very nice times Magnet
  9. Won't be able to make it this year. Enjoy!
  10. Yeah so I am not sure if the Volvo brakes would change anything but I doubt they bolt on like the Hilux ones. So maybe the Hilux calipers and a brake bias adjuster install? Not sure what the engineer would have to say about the bias adjuster.
  11. I'm not disputing that, but wouldn't using similar sized brakes from any car on the front have the same affect?
  12. Hey mate. Great plan, you seem to have been very thorough. In regards to the Hilux brakes, from my experience and from other people I have spoken to, the 15/16 MC is plenty, infact the 1 inch was too much (remember Hilux have bigger rear brakes). Food for thought
  13. Hope it stays in Canberra. I'll talk to my friend and find out what is happening with Scott.
  14. Had that come from anyone else, flame suits would be required, but so far you seem to be pretty knowledgable, so I'm going to do some research on that.
  15. Hi guys. I am headed to tassie on 28/10 and will have some boot space available. We will be returning around 4/11.
  16. I'll hit my army mate up and see if he can look him up. Anyone know his first name?
  17. Getting excited!
  18. I better get my arse into gear then!
  19. Thanks for the heads up Mark, I'll check if I need anything
  20. Welcome. Very nice GT40 you have there. I think quite a few people would be interested in plexiglass window replacements if they were at the right price. Unfortunately in Australia, more often than not, it is cheaper to source these things internationally than local. Cheers Scott
  21. Good luck getting a hold of him... Alan, she looks fantastic, those wheels will look the shiznit on it.
  22. Pretty sure I met Molly at the Dutton Rally a few years ago. CAN DRIVE! Good on her, I'll see how I'm going next pay. Good luck to her.
  23. You sir, have just answered a question I have been asking myself since I decided to go to the nats. Now to find some money lok
  24. Do what we did, all 2 seaters, 5 of them for the guys. The missus went in old Jag's, looked the goods too.
