  1. Sold and collected.
  2. I grabbed them because they are getting very hard to find (I don't need them myself). Open to offers within reason.
  3. Hi folks, A friend managed to pick these up at a swap meet in California for me. As you probably know these are getting really hard to obtain now. I told him to grab as many as he could! These are in good condition but not perfect, expect a couple of mounting pins to be missing, almost impossible to remove them without them breaking at this stage. So we have 5 in total for now. Price: $120 each badge (slightly negotiable). $120 a pair or $60 each. These are currently in the US and I'll be there in late October / Early November and will bring them back in my luggage. However if you want them sooner I could arrange to get them posted before that.
  4. I've been looking for a rear 1/4 panel for drivers side a while now. No luck finding 1 here. I am looking to import a bunch of stuff from the US on a pallet inc. 1/4 panels, roof skins, doors, topy steel wheels, even bonnets because they are getting tougher to find. I'd estimate a good second hand rear 1/4 panel to cost around $1,500 AUD landed here. If you can find 1 locally for less than that, grab it.
  5. Congratulations, I think considering the lack of rust the price was more than reasonable. Provided it's not hiding too much you don't already know about. Just saw video 20 of the Porsche, can't believe how well it's turned out. Good to have someone with your skills and knowledge join the community. I'll be happy to pick your brain on a few things myself. I have to catch up and watch all your videos. I've only seen the first couple and now the last Porsche painting 1. Not sure where you find all the time! I'm jealous.
  6. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-UK-RHD-Datsun-240z-Red-Prev-owner-28-yrs-lots-of-pics-260z-280z-Nissan-/361684301521 £14,750.00 I am curious what sandblasting the underside of this 1 would reveal...
  7. Those are the same colour as mine were, from years of UV exposure and neglect I suppose?
  8. Yes later console has the silver ashtray sliding cover. See below.
  9. Another option, but if you're working on brakes perhaps not that practical. I have these ramps, with wooden planks in front because the car is low, it allows me to get the car onto the ramps. Good for changing oils etc.. But if you need to change suspension, brakes etc.. not so helpful.
  10. I tend to agree, it is pretty far gone. It can be saved of course but will require extensive work. The roof turret looks good! The rest not so much..
  11. Nope, looks like a good buy for someone looking at a 2+2.
  12. Yes Andrew The Chicken Hunter in Tasmania (Mr Mankini) was interested but never organised freight. So not sure what the deal is. Happy to get rid of it though.
  13. FYI: HS30 01562 had the early style console. Ignore the fuse cover that's wrong.
  14. Thanks, drive? Pfft. That's what home delivery is for. I find that the amount of time spent in traffic (esp. Sydney) + fuel etc.. Delivery works out better all around. I was going to try this. https://www.bunnings.com.au/dulux-duramax-125g-2-pack-gloss-clear-coat-spray-paint_p1400741 and SuperCreep have adhesion promoters here. http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Septone-Plastic-Adhesion-Primer-400g/105783
  15. I asked the seller for the VIN # on this car (already listed earlier in this thread), some how I doubt I'll get a reply. But it was worth a shot. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/sydney-city/cars-vans-utes/1971-datsun-240z-coupe/1119208296 Definitely seems like a glass is half full kinda guy.
  16. Bloody hell better check that jeffzcar.com isn't taken.
  17. 71A Box with the later console is odd... Since the 71A gear stick lever would come out further back than the later cars... It's possible the console was changed?
  18. @Jeff can you let me know what chassis no. it is? I was going to ask Zak. I want to add it to my records.
  19. After seeing this tutorial I'm definitely going to clear coat my lenses. 2K clear coat may be hard to find in an aerosol can. I've actually been polishing another set (which came off HS30 00150) and were in better shape to start with than the other pair which I bought as spares years ago, but were really quite rough. They already look so much nicer than the last pair and with the clear coat should really shine!
  20. Toyota Hilux with the tray in the rear and a 4 seater cab? You can also tow the race trailer queen that will be #19. . Not sure if your missus wants to be driving something that large around town though! I love my Suzuki Jimny (it's slow as F^%$) but probably not that child friendly. Even if you put a baby seat in the rear. So the Vitara might be a good choice as an economical car.
  21. Good to see those original Topy steelies on her too! By the way does HS30 - 01555 still have the early console? Apparently HS30 01694 doesn't and I'm trying to figure out what the cut off date was. It looks like you may have 3 screw SU carbs also. Which were only fitted to very very early 240z's here in Australia (same ones that had the Nissan 2400 OHC valve cover), it's likely those were fitted to your car later.

  23. You would pay that for a rusty looking later S30z/S31 (74+ 2 seater) in Japan.
  24. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/11902-les-collins-racing/ HS30 00318 = QLD Registration S10752 HS30 103554 = QLD Registration S16864 I assume #318 was the car that competed in Targa Tasmania? Some details here: http://www.wazregister.com/index.php?title=viewcar&car=HS30-318
  25. The Scarab Z went for $17,000 USD. Not bad, if that's your thing.
