d3c0y Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 993 with an RWB kit will grace my garage one day, when they are a little cheaper :/ I went and met Nakai @ RWB last time i was in Japan, those things are amazing in real life! Quote
thriller Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 993 with an RWB kit will grace my garage one day, when they are a little cheaper :/ I went and met Nakai @ RWB last time i was in Japan, those things are amazing in real life! Agree, I think it'd be incredible to see one in the flesh. The internet kind of downplays it a little after you see one every couple of days. The little details are quite cool, check out the wing on the overfender... Did you get an idea of costing for his work? I've never actually seen, since everyone says 'if you have to ask you can't afford', but only for curiosity's sake... Quote
d3c0y Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Yeah i got a photo of my iphone sitting in the dish of one of the cars there its amazing. I'll try and post it up tongiht. Basically if you drop a porsche off its about US$22K and LHD late 80s 911s over there are pretty cheap. You could have a full RWB kitted 964 for like $40k drive away. He's really down to earth, friendly guy and is not at all "if you have to ask you cant afford". I got over to StarRoad on the same day too and got a ride in a GC10 with triple 40s! Quote
benny Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 man that video makes me want to own a 911 Quote
mossy Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I've always loved Porsches, I remember when I was younger I used to buy Porsche excellence magazine all the time and now Magnus Walker has brought all those memories flooding back in fact yesterday I was on the net all day looking at porsches. I'm really considering a 70 model 911t as my next car now, only problem is they are getting really expensive. Quote
Z Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Here's my results from a day of surfing too! I could never part with the S30 but it sure would be nice having both to choose from! You can revert a 911 SC (17 to 30k) to a 73 RS... Also found a crowd who do a turn key version which is interesting to see what they do, and a few other sites of interest: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/911-forum/508362-converting-1981-911-sc-to-1973-rs-body-kit.html http://www.autofarm.co.uk/pdf/AF911Brochure1107.pdf http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/139484-ultimate-backdating-thread.html http://www.adelgigs.com/911sc.shtml Good way to waste a day I reckon!
