sexual_sushi Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Hi all, I have a very ambitious project... complete a show quality stroker engine before the z nationals 2009. Obviously when done right this is a very expensive feat so I'm offering my services editing photos in exchange for some pennies for the project Editing can be anything from basic colour and brightness adjustment to complex enhancement and effects. Common processes/services include: -cropping and resizing -spot/chip removal -object removal -colour correction -lighting effects -motion blur -sky/background replacement -chrome/highlight enhancement Here are some before and after examples And these photos have been taken off zedevans gallery here on VicZCar (hope you don't mind ) Just email, pm or reply if you're interested Cheers Shaun Quote
mikedoeslife Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Damn. I don't have a use for your services myself, but I do have to say, that's some great work mate. Really nice. Good luck with this project, I'm sure you'll find some willing customers! Quote
zedevan Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 whats with all you ppl photoshoping my car to be a different green? trying to make me get it painted a different green huh? lol how about removing the damage off the side of my car? Quote
mikedoeslife Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Haha he didn't change the colour of the car specifically, he just oversaturated the colours of the entire photo Quote
sexual_sushi Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 hahaha yeah the original photo has an overall "blue" tone. You can see it in the whites and the road and the grass which means that it shouldn't be an accurate interpretation of the real colour anyway? I just did some colour balancing to take the blue out and then like van said, up the saturation a lil Quote
George Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 looks like a tungsten white balance to me. great work SS and gl with the project. what exactly do you want to do with the engine? Quote
mikedoeslife Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I just blogged about it over at my site, hope it helps http://grandjdm.com/2007/07/09/want-your-classic-jdm-to-look-this-good/ Quote
sexual_sushi Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 cheers van, thats awesome. i swear vicZcar is the friendliest forum (especially for Z sites) in the world as for the engine I'm goin for a 3.1 litre stroker with triple 44mm webbers using ka24e 89mm forged pistons, the diesel maxima crankshaft obviously, 240z rods (the 9mm ones), a moderate camshaft (say around stage 2 or 3 according to motorsport autos specs) and a new header. Then theres all the machine work including balance and blueprinting pretty much everything, the overbore and port and polish etc. AND then... all the small stuff like turbo oil pump, coil, electric fan and water pump and all the gaskets and bearings etc. After all that I'm getting all the shiny stuff. Chromed and polished parts wherever they can go All up I'm allowing about $8000 and I already have the webbers and electric fuel pump (not much i know but its a start!). Nearly had the crankshaft but thats a long story which you can read here...http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,1302.msg9085.html#msg9085 Quote
zedevan Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 hmmm i agree that the white balance isn't correct in the first pic, however all the greens in the picture are pretty accurate, atleast on my monitor lol. there really wasn't anything in the pics to lift the colour at all as its all really greys and greens so i like you what you've done, but it aint that colour green in person its the more boring orginal photo colour, atleast in that light hehe, i'm pretty sure its the same colour as the rb26 260z in qld, but another green would b nice...anyway i htink i've had to long a day and picking a mate up from the airport this morning didn't help! i assume u'd also happily take pictures for people, adjust them and then print them posters if they wanted? sounds like a nice engine setup you have planned there, r you doing that to nigels car or your project one? Quote
sexual_sushi Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 yeah im happy to take a few photos or even do a full photo shoot with multiple locations. I can print any size easily up to 30x96 inches which is bloody huge! I can supply jsut the print or have them mounted and framed aswell. I can also design custom displays for car shows etc which you can get framed or I can work out other unique ways to display them. And there are also a number of different mediums to print to including canvas, glass and aluminium however these are getting a bit up there on the money sides of things. This is a quick one I did up and put in a cheap frame for the classic japanese show and shine last year... Yeah the engine is for nigels car. My project car is gona be a daily driver and I would hate to pay for fuel for that engine Quote
Toecutter Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 The framed pics with the info is an excellent idea! You should also promote your serves on ClassicZcars. Shipping in a post pack to the US would be cheap! Good work. Quote
