sexual_sushi Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 735bcatt is a terrible ebayer. He cancelled my bid 12 hours after sending me the total becuase "This is my lifes blood and i have to keep the lights on so im relisting it with a lost on my half and your" (excuse the bad english on his behalf). Ok so there is a stroker crankshaft on ebay. I email the bloke and ask if he can ship to aus and he says fine. I win the auction, contact him that day with my shipping address (i think it was only like an hour or 2 after the auction ended). Two days later i recieve this... "SEND ME YOUR COMPLETE ADDRESS SO I CAN SEND YOU SHIPPING COST. THIS IS THE SECOND REQUEST. I WILL GIVE YOU TIL TODAY TO RESPOND,IF NOT YOU WILL LOSE THIS AUTION AND IT WILL GO TO THE LAST HIGH BIDDER AND THE PROPER FEEDBACK WILL BE LEFT FOR YOU." so i sent this.... "I sent you the complete address 5 minutes after receiving your first request (which by the way was not long after the auction ended). I have a copy of it in my inbox. I have been wating for you to send me the total cost. Maybe your spam filters or on too high? Here is what it said... 'Hello, just need the total to ship to the address listed above. I don't mind going by land/sea to save money. Cheers Shaun' Address: <removed> I will send this information from the checkout screen as I did last time just so you can see the address formatted correctly. I don't want this deal to go sour, especially since I have done nothing wrong. Send me the total and I will pay promptly. Cheers Shaun" so all is good with this email from him... "This time i got it... i think there something wrong with my OS, its new to me (windows vista) i think theres some bugs to be worked out. sorry for the confustion. look for your payment request today." so i go to bed, while i'm sleeping he sends the shipping options... "OK fed-ex will not do it, it's too heavy so i whent with USPS....... Price based on shipping a 60 lb. 0 oz. package (valued at $500.00) from ZIP Code? 92392 to AUSTRIA on 04/26/2007. Global Express Mail? 3 - 5 Days $214.27 $225.55 Insurance included for packages valued up to $100 No Charge No Charge Terms and Conditions Global Airmail Parcel Post? 4 - 10 Days $202.65 $202.65 " ok now forget the bad format, engish and the fact that he thinks Australia is Austria (dumb and dumber anyone? "slap another shrimp on the barbie"?). Before I get a chance to pay i get this (12 hours after the shipping options are sent, for which i was sleeping for 8 of those hours)..... "Hi There again.... I sent the requst,no payment. This is ok.... PLEASE DON'T SEND IT,I JUST REMOVED YOU AS HIGHEST BIDDER. This is not to mean or upset just that i need this stuff movin and i can not and will not keep holding on waiting. This is my lifes blood and i have to keep the lights on so im relisting it with a lost on my half and your. Again it's nothing agains you but i need to eat and keep my lights on and this is not a game so let call it a day and move forward with our lifes. Thank you and god bless. " ok so its my problem that he has bills to pay? get stuffed, he had a 2 day grace period in the ebay listing and he gives me 12 hours notice to pay. IF YOU NEED TO EAT AND HAVE BILLS TO PAY GET A JOB. Or at least get on top of your ebaying and email me earlier. Which also leaves me wondering... if he needs the money so urgently why relist the item on ebay for another 7 days?!!!!! He could have waited at MOST another 36 hours and got the money (i was online to pay him when i got his email anyway) he writes this in the new auction "(NO BIDDING OUT OF THE USA,NO BIDDING OUT OF THE USA,NO BIDDING OUT OF THE USA,NO BIDDING OUT OF THE USA) ****THIS IS A RELIST,LAST BUYER DIDN'T COME THUR, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MINE WITH YOUR WANTS AND HOPES.....YOU BID YOU BUY THIS IS PLAIN AS I CAN GET********** " so everyone stay away from *****735bcatt********** bad ebayer if he needs ebay to eat lets take away his income Quote
onrelas Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Thats so frustrating.. I hate that. I've had ot deal with people like him on eBay before and its a no win situation generally, thats why i try to stay clear of it these days. Look on the positive side of things though. Based on how he has acted so far with the sale, and how much of a idiot he appears to be, you're probably lucky not to have goen through with the sale. As i bet it wouldnt be as he advertised, or he would of still sent the thing to Austria and you would of probably never got it.. haha Think of it as a blessing in disguise.. Still frustrating you cant meet him face to face and tell him off though. Well thats how i feel in these situations anyway, haha Quote
dave_hl Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 his english sounds like he's from asia not the states... At least you didn't lose money though! Quote
mayhem Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 more like a 7 eleven clerk  .................. i hate dealing with people over seas last order took 5 months ... 5 f#@ken months for a bike jacket ...you wonder sometimes ....but you are lucky you didnt send money and then he stooge ya  but still im waiting for f1 mirriors to show up from U.S.A i guess i will never learn..... Quote
Zeddophile Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 all depends on who you buy from, I guess - I bought a set of GSXR750 throttle bodies off a bloke in the US on ebay, got them within a week, no issues.... Suggest you pursue this through Ebays complaints system? There is no lack of communications which should be stored in their system, and if nothing else you should be able to cause him a few hassles  Quote
Toecutter Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Gavs got a diesal crank he might be selling, PM him last time I spoke to him he said he was thinkin about it! Quote
tattoo_ink Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 i agree with Zeddophile, get ebay onto him .... they prob cant do much but annoy him and cause a few dramas but ! ive come across some real tossers on there myself that id like to meet face to face ! its a bit of a different story but youl get a laugh from this - i told one dude that ripped me off 150 that il see him in a few weeks and sent him a photo off a perth referdex with his house marked on it and i got my $ back the next day ! worked a treat but id recon ebay wouldnt like that to much ! Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Dude, just get a stroker crank from NZ. I've seen them over there on trademe for as cheap as $50. Quote
luke_mcmahon85 Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 yeah, NZ is a good option...i got a turbo manifold from there for like 90 dollars to my door... the problem with the LD28 crank though is A) finding one that's not inside an engine, or finding someone nice enough to take it out for you B) shipping it here. NZPOST only ships up to a certain weight, and the crank, when packed, is just over, so you have to go another route, which is quite expensive...but if you get a good deal on shipping, then the total cost should be fairly reasonable Quote
