DatPilot Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Stewart Wilkins Racing in Syd do make a special set of L6 extractors (you have to ask for them specifically, they arent on the web-site anymore) Sometimes ther is a wait time, as they normally sell before they are delivered to the workshop! They are race proven in many events, very well thought out.... Quote

NZeder Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 If one were thinking of shipping one (or more) over........ Last I heard they were not in stock and were waiting for resupply - that was months and months ago maybe even 12 months ago now. A number of racers here in NZ use that header with good results. Quote

I'll pick them up then send them off or guys can pick them up from me. Quote
benny Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 they look pretty good and have to be better then our crap ones in AU for the same money. Quote
Riceburner Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I think Gordo got this style copied and made up by someone he knows. He Could be worth a try, might be cheaper especially if you can produce the flanges simon. Quote
240zed Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 Like these ones? http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=297 Its not the one I am after. I am looking for is 6 to 2 to 1 that comes in 2 pieces. 2 pipes flanged approximately where the engine and g/box with the collector to 1 pipe that is past the gear lever I will ask Alan Stean if he has a photo. 240zed Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 The extractor Ben used on his car is similar but photo does not show the other piece of the extractor http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2043.0.html Cheers Quote

peter mc Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 just use SW pipes they work and are very well made and there 2 peace flanged at the box Quote
acf321 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I can second Peter Mac.. I spent a year looking looking for extractors. Spoke to US NISMO and they are a 3 month wait at best, with no guarantees. Its like they are not interested in doing business, really! I bought the SWR bespoke kit and its a very welll made thing in the right design you are after. Have a look at the photos on my Brown Hornet thread, which are pretty detailed. Go with the locally made stuff, its very good. Quote

peter mc Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Ben the USA iv tryed 6 different sets and there is only a small amount in the pipes there all about 27-32 in long and if you wont to play you will find more in the exhaust as a hole ..the SW pipes are within 2 hp of the best and if you tune the exhaust they make more thru the mid rpm than all the pipes iv tryed, if you have a strong L28 they are grate with a 3 in pipe Quote
240zed Posted November 9, 2011 Author Posted November 9, 2011 Thanks everyone, I will contact SW for a set like The Brown Hornet photos, Cheers Larry Quote
Roberto Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Good choice Larry. I also tried to make contact with Nismo with no response at all. That's pretty average customer service. I am glad to spend my $$ in Aus with people who actually value your business. Quote
