Riceburner Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hey guys, I'm trying to find more info and a supplier for a G-nose front spoiler. I'm after the one that is part of the type 'A' works kit as pictured below. I'm sure it's only produced in japan. Quote
mossy Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Here you go mate, http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k143067171 Contact Jesse Streeter if you need someone in Japan http://jessestreeter.com/ Quote
Riceburner Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Thanks Mossy, I don't know how I missed that Quote
mossy Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 No worries, I had a look on the yahoo japan page before that, typed in g-nose and was suprised at the search results, weird Quote
Riceburner Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Hahaha, I usually search under s30z and 240zg for that very reason. Quote
Sirpent Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hi from NZ ! Try Freddy at Top Stage, he produces full replica carbon fibre kits now from an original set. Cheers John Just off to have some Fush and Chups LOL Quote
620Z Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Gareth that G-nose over hangs a long way and will get knocked about if a road car. Just something to consider. Cheers Quote
zed74 Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hi Zccjdm.com (z car custom) website in America does g nose lip spoiler Quote
roastbeef Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Gareth I have the exact front spoiler from the same vendor on yahoo auctions- *(got it through jessestreeter). Kameari can also make the same replica Type A spoiler to order but it is about double the price. An original version of one of these spoilers went on yahoo auctions for over 800 AUS (i stopped looking after it reached that point ). Haven't fitted it all on yet but was going to try and fit it with quick release fittings mainly for trackdays etc. The ones from zccjdm are more like a modified type B style. Quote
Riceburner Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Do you want to sell it to me? Lol. I have spoken to ZCCJDM, but that type looks as if it would sit lower and further forward. I think the type 'a' is a bit better looking personally. Thanks craig, I have coil overs so I can raise the ride height if needed, I was also tossing up the idea of making it quick release and would probably run it for events and track days. How do you go clearance wise with normal road driving Craig? Quote
roastbeef Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I could sell it to you... but then I would need to get another one The one listed in the auction is actually quite reasonable- ask to buy it separate from the works overfenders and it comes to about 12000 yen (not including shipping etc) I think size wise it just manages to squeeze into the maximum allowed packaging so shipping cost was ok too - everything arrived in good condition. Riceburner Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Hehehe, yeah. That's what I asked Jesse to do so hopefully I'll hear back soon. Do you know of any type of quick trelease system? I have seen some circular steel ones that you unlock with a flat blade screw driver...... Quote
luvemfast Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Can Topstage make a mold off Beefs? Then there'll be a local supplier. Quote
roastbeef Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Im waiting to hear back from topstage about a rear hatch so will ask. Gareth I was going to figure out a mounting system once the G nose was actually mounted(looks a little way off yet). Was going to try and think of a simple frame system so that the splitter would do more than just look pretty. I know someone who has made workable version for a S15 WTAC car but it is a bit more complicated with the G nose. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted September 26, 2011 Moderators Posted September 26, 2011 Gareth, I think those fasteners are called "Duetz Fasteners". Drag cars use them alot. Quote
zr240 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Gareth check out sinishas and let me know what you think. I have the mold Ash Quote
Riceburner Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Thanks D! Ash, I have seen Sinisha's and I like it. I just thought it was a little too low for me, I've already ordered the type 'a' anyway. But thanks. Quote
Topstage Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 gareth, from the looks of it, the soiler wont do much at creating downforce. i u really want downforce i can design sometin that will work at a custom price. i will reproduce items as long as there is minimum of 5 paying deposit customers. otherwise it is just a waste of time. as experience told me Quote
Riceburner Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 Thanks mate, it's already in the process of getting fixed by a mate. Quote
