Gillo Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 I have my L28 short motor for sale as I no longer want to use it. It was running fine when removed from the 240Z and I took compression readings. It has a N42 head and F54 block # L28-683693. $400 ono Quote
53-681 Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Are you by any chance selling the 240Z it came out of? Color blue? Quote
Gillo Posted August 25, 2011 Author Posted August 25, 2011 No, sorry. It came out of a 73 240Z, original colour orange, but maroon when I bought it. Quote
peter t Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Want to swap for a set of Konie red shocks. Quote
brianz Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Hi You say it is a short motor but mention the N42 head. Is the head (and everything else in the photos) included. Brianz Quote
Agno Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 A short motor is the head and block assembly of a motor... So you would get everything in the photo Quote
Roberto Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 No it's not. Long motor is block and head. Short motor is block only. Quote
brianz Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Thanks for clearing that up Roberto260Z. I thought I was right for asking the question. I would still like to get the answer from Gillo as I may be interested in buying it if it is the LONG motor etc. Quote
peter t Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I always though a short motor was a four banger and a long one was a six banger. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D No seriously a you are correct a short motor is block only and a long motor is from bottom to top. Be quick to grab this one as I am waiting in the wings. Quote
Gillo Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 Sorry for the confusion It is as pictured. Unknown on what pistons are in it. I always thought a short motor was the head and block only, and a long motor was all the fruit included, fan, starter, etc. Anyway, it is both head and block. Quote
peter t Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Thanks mate for the motor. It was great to see your gear and good luck with your projects. Quote
