zeds4ever Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 G'day fella's , called into Warrens "AllZ" at hornsby yesterday. He has two great looking Zeds that he is going to put on the market. A sweet looking pearl (69) 240Z complete with flares & body skirts ,etc. L28 fuel injctd motor, 5spd box & lsd to boot. All in all a great looking car. The other is a radical looking Ferrari red (76) 260Z 2str 5Ltr corvtte mtr,5speed box, lsd. Complete with Engnrs aproval. The rear of the car from the window sctn has been re configured to look much like a vette. This car has had a lot of bucks thrown at it & looks very impressive. Just wish I had the bucks otherwise they'd be mine. Oh well. If your interested give him a buzz on (02) 9476 0966. They are both reasonably priced. N.B. This is not a 4sale add as such,it's just to make members aware that these cars are available on the market. Regards: Alan. Quote
Hopo Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Hi Alan, Good to see another Z fan is in Winmalee. If you want to catch up let me know. My Z is currently in the panel shop getting the body ready for a rebuild from ground up so at the moment nothing to show you in the way of a Z. I find Warren great to deal with & hope to be getting some more bits from him soon. Cheers Ian Quote
Paulo Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Hi Hopo, As a past resident of Springwood and in the midst of doing up my Zed in Silverdale, look forward to viewing your finished project! Good luck - Warren and Allan are a great source of info. Paulo Quote
PZG302 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 And completely off topic, i'm originally a mountain boy too. Grew up in Glenbrook and spent a couple of years in springwood. In fact, Winmalee Tyres were one of my first sponsors almost 20 years ago. I feel old now. Quote
PeterAllen Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 ...called into Warrens "AllZ" at hornsby yesterday.... Alan - About six months ago I had a great deal of trouble contacting Warren. I even drove there from 'The Shire' only to find the place shut. Do you know if he is trading regular hours? Quote
zeds4ever Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 :-\ Yes peter, warren is alive & reasonably well. He's had a few health problems as of late but if you ring him on his Mob#0410405578 you can find out when is the best time to meet up with him. He's a good bloke & is always willing to help. His lovely lady mirriam is also very helpful. Over the years I have known them there are few that compare. Just as a afterthought you didn't go to Asquith did you, as he moved from there up to hornsby some time ago. Regards: Alan. Quote
PeterAllen Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Alan - I agree that Warren and Miriam are great folks, we swap stories about our 20something daughters, and that why I was finding it odd not being able to get in contact at that time. Someone on this site lent me a part I urgently needed and I was very keen to replace it with one from Warren. You've just reminded me I still need to do it. Thanks. Quote
MaygZ Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 ... we swap stories about our 20something daughters, .... YOU'VE GOT 20 DAUGHTERS?!!!! Quote
PeterAllen Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Yes, but that's combining Warren's and mine... I often wonder why they are still at home but when I read post like the one above I realise there isn't a great pool of talent from which they could choose. Quote
zeds4ever Posted June 18, 2011 Author Posted June 18, 2011 Hey pete, I dont think he was being smart, just shocked. LOL. As I was to. Regards: Alan. Quote
Z Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Hah that's classic, 20 years of 20 daughters is probably enough to make anyone a little twitchy:) joking here now! Warrens been good for parts, I've got all interior panels, rubber kit (there was a unused franga in one box that nobody took ownershiip for), H4's, carpet kit, 15/16 master cylinder and tonnes of other stuff I can't remember. He can get a bit busy so don't push the big guy! This did mean I have had to wait for parts a looooong time. Spoke to Miriam this week, sounds like he's on the mend. Quote
