Impressive stuff - welcome abord Hayden :)

Thanks Lurch. Been long project but coming along now. Amazing what was hidden under a reasonable paint job at the start of this project.

Geeze Hayden...talk about deja vu. Thought I was looking at my car for the first dozen or so shots, then I started to feel better!

Great work....what was the timeframe to get to this point?

Now that's great work.  Very impressive detail.

She's a very old girl.  What's her number?

Like Kato, I would love to get an idea of your time frame so far.

Great photos too.  Thanks.  They will provide a great telpate for my project, which so far looks very similar - all be it to a lesser level of detail.

Yea wasn't going to be this big a project as the car didn't look this bad!!

But how wrong can you get. New floors, rear guards, sills and all the guts in behind, front radiator support and many other small parts all replaced.

Time frame about  6 months to get to this stage and a understanding panel beater.

All the suspension and bushes renewed and powdercoated and going back in now will post more pics of latest progress soon

Good to see another Zed in NZ that will be back on the road in the future. A lot of work and top effort. Were in NZ are you? What colour you going to paint once ready for that stage.

Cheers

Hi Hayden,

So are you the same Hayden that purchased a LHD 240z from Mike from WGTN? Mike purchased my old red 240z. If so condrads on getting Bruce's old 280z. This was converted from LHD to RHD many many years ago using a new dash and donor parts from a wrecked 2+2 IIRC. The ugly US 280z bumper were removed and replaced with 260z items. Last time I saw the car was at my house a number of years ago when Bruce and others came around and we talked about the zclub.org.nz website.

Anyway well done if you are indeed the same Hayden.

Yes am the same Hayden.

Doesn't take long for the rumour network to get going in the zed world.

Will post some pics when the car gets down here. Leaving Auckland tomorrow.

Cheers.

yep old club members cars, well for those of us that have been member for 17+ years, like to know where they go and how the end up ;)

I am sure Andy wanted to keep it but he already has 2 - but then zed are like that - BC (before children) I had 3 zeds at the same time for about 3 years. Somewhere down your neck of the wood is Nelson (I don't know him only of him) who has a number of zed and 2 Datsun Roadster if the info I have heard is correct.
